Hemp takes 7-12 weeks to grow. I think we should stop using trees for paper and use hemp. I would literally join a chain-thyself-to-tree protest with others if I had the opportunity.
it also produces more paper per acre and is stronger, more durable, and more recyclable than a tree [editline]10th May 2011[/editline]
oh you
:h:
Can you smoke hemp paper?
Alright, so Washington has the potential to legalize cannabis within the state simply by removing all criminal penalties. This is the same method used back when Alcohol was illegal, states slowly began to stop enforcing the penalties. Once that happens, the federal government gives in due to the fact that they don't want an unregulated market for a drug, and they can't force states to enforce the law. They have just over 20,000 signatures so far, but need to get 241,000 by July. You can help! https://sensiblewashington.org/blog/ Find how where you can sign by looking at this map. You can zoom in if you go to the link above. We don't want legalization of pot. We want decriminalization of pot. [editline]11th May 2011[/editline]
ic so your smokin cannabis wrapped in cannabis, how ingenious
Hemp contains less than .3% THC than the amount in avg weed, so sure.. i guess that qualifies as cannabis.
;29748597']We don't want legalization of pot. We want decriminalization of pot.
Why don't you want it to be legalized?
Why don't you want it to be legalized?
Big taxes, perhaps?
Why don't you want it to be legalized?
Legalization means complete government control of it. Decriminalizing means its illegal to produce and sell, but not illegal to have or smoke. Really doesn't make any sense because where would all this pot come from.. but when do things in government ever make perfect sense. The tax revenue from legalization of it would greatly benefit the US.
I forgot to say, this is not a petition. Washington has a system where if they get enough signatures, it gets onto the legit ballot in November where voters can vote on it at the polls on Election day. Also, there is no reason not to allow government regulation of it. The system they would use would be similar to alcohol, which is already sold in state regulated stores.
No way will this get over 200000 signatures in the span of a month and a half, espeically since it isn't an online petition and you have to actually go somewhere to sign it.
How does government regulation of it make it worse? The tax revenue from legalization of it would greatly benefit the US.
Not only the tax revenue created by the tax stamp for selling marijuana. Think about all the saved taxes for people in jail for marijuana related crimes. The jobs created by both regulation, production, distribution and retail end of the business. It will be a great benefit to the USA and other countries. However, thats in a perfect world. See, legalized smoking of marijuana will put a nice dent in both the alcohol, and the failing tobacco industries. Which will contradict the previous statement above. On a better note is that they don't become GREATLY destroyed. People will still drink and smoke tobacco regardless. But the industry won't be as big as it is now. I don't think Anheiser Bush or Miller have anything to worry about. Except maybe a few million lost from their greedy hands; from selling a poison. Or Marlboro and Reynolds to quench over the thought of losing their tobacco stronghold. They can greatly rebound by selling Marijuana cigarettes and blunts.. however I am sure their quality will be worse than what will be available by other retail outlets.
Lol, This aint gonna work. Everyone who would sign it are too stoned to go anywhere.
... I still fail to see why breathing anything else except for air into your lungs is a good idea in anybodies mindset. If it ain't air, it ain't good for you, and that's a fact. You irritate the Alveoli, and whenever you irritate tissue that sensitive, you risk cancer.
