I was born in Canada. The only thing Canada has going for them as candy goes is those delicious Kinder egg things and Aero Bars. American Smarties and Canadian Smarties are two totally different types of candy. Canadian Smarties are like M&M clones while American Smarties are what Canada calls Rockets. (i think that's what it was) And the coke is exactly the same you're just being an elitist idiot. DrPepper is better anyways and as far as I remember a lot of places in Canada didn't have that until a few year ago.
drpepper tastes like coke and rootbeer mixed together with a drop of shit
And the coke is exactly the same you're just being an elitist idiot
hey you're wrong sorry that you have no taste buds and can't tell the difference between corn syrup and sugar.
drpepper tastes like coke and rootbeer mixed together with a drop of shit
Very delicious shit. Just realized this thread was made in 07 :geno:

Either you're Canadian taste-buds are broken or: ITT: Canadian goes to US, buys Diet Coke/Coke Zero or shitty Pepsi/RC Cola/other coke impersonator and things Coca-Cola Classic is bad. Coca-Cola is amazing, especially when mixed with a Snickers bar on a long day. Has to be Coca-Cola Classic, preferably in a glass bottle though. Also, Sun Drop, fuck yes.
On the subject of Coca Cola: Growing Up, My Parents often took vacations to Vegas (Addicted Gamblers), and my most vivid memories being a child at the time was the Coca-Cola Museum, or what I commonly referred to it as. The place is now Closed, but besides having a history of Coke, blah, blah, blah; one of the more interesting pieces was a fountain room where you could sample Coca-Cola from different countries around the world (Disney World in Orlando has a similar fountain room as well; I think in Epcot). It was pretty elaborate, since the soda was shot out from cola bottles like a fountain and arched into your glass. I remembered preferring a few of the different countries flavors, but sadly i don't remember which ones. I know I remembered trying the soda from Japan first and not liking that. Sadly the museum is closed in Vegas, but the Gameworks is still open and there is some type of M&M's exhibit now.

I actually remember the recipe change in 85'. That was so shitty.
Wow, it was open just a few years ago. :sigh:
Well I haven't been there recently, last trip was probably like 5 years ago. It was closed then, and Wikipedia says it closed in 2000.
I actually remember the recipe change in 85'. That was so shitty.
They changed it because of some stupid survey they did.

[editline]11:00PM[/editline]
They changed it because of some stupid survey they did.
Well, at least they were trying to listen to their consumers... even though it was just a publicity stunt.
I prefer mexican coke, they use real sugar cane and you can taste the difference.
I prefer mexican coke, they use real sugar cane and you can taste the difference.
not to mention the little drops of cocaine.
I prefer mexican coke, they use real sugar cane and you can taste the difference.
I tried that before, tried European stuff too. Wasn't impressed, but probably because I grew up drinking the regular stuff.
American Cherry Coke was the greatest... When they had that at Disney World Resorts in soda fountains its all I had...
American Cherry Coke was the greatest... Not sure if the same policy is in place, but as long as you bought their special mug, you could get free unlimited refills with your mug. The catch 22 was that you had to walk all the way to the gift shop to do so, and depending on how much you drink and how far away your room was, you were often tempted in just using the vending machines in the hallways outside your room :D
It sort of depends on where you live in the world. Britain has Coca-Cola, and about 50 different types >.> like Coke Cherry, Coke Lemon, Diet Coke, Coke, Coke Zero, and it goes on. But every foreign thing will taste weird because we are not used to it, if you're not used to it in about 2 weeks THEN you really don't like it.

I want to try some! [editline]a[/editline] On second thought, no. It's probably nothing special. I wouldn't mind trying it though.
NONE OF YOU GIVING THIS NEGATIVE RATINGS HAVE SAMPLED INTERNATIONAL COKES I AM A COKE CONNOISSEUR AND YOU ARE PHILISTINES
as a coke connoisseur i am used to the proles misdirecting their hatred towards their betters
I'm probably the only Facepunch member within the area that can buy Sun Drop. It's so amazing, beats the hell out of Mountain Dew so I really dunno why they don't market the stuff nationally.
Well I was in Ontario I crossed into America and picked up a coke thinking I would find delicious satisfaction. I was wrong. The coke you guys have is absolutely horrible and very different from the Canadian variety. How can you drink that all the time? NONE OF YOU GIVING THIS NEGATIVE RATINGS HAVE SAMPLED INTERNATIONAL COKES I AM A COKE CONNOISSEUR AND YOU ARE PHILISTINES
Aye, it's due to a heavy tax we place on cane sugar to promote domestic corn growers. We have a corn lobby that maintains the laws. As such all cane sugar normally in sodas is replaced with high fructose corn syrup. It also makes candy factories difficult to keep functioning inside the United States without finding other sources. Really this tax is what makes sure almost all of our food contains high fructose corn syrup. I will give American Cola one thing, it tastes better out of the fountain machine than the cane sugar variety. Which may be why in part fountain machines are so much more popular within the united states when compared to elsewhere. Personally for my home cola needs I just buy Coke made in Mexico. Sam's club and Costco (Two common wholesale food retailers in the United States that are unique in that they offer memberships to anyone for a very reasonable fee.) often have them stuffed away in dark corners being sold by the 24 unit flat in glass bottles. Great stuff and uses the normal cane sugar. [editline]02:38AM[/editline]
I'm probably the only Facepunch member within the area that can buy Sun Drop. EDIT: I should note that some regions use Beat sugar instead of cane sugar. The difference is negligible.
Oh yea, GunFox can get Sun Drop as well. You never call, you never write, you never get on ventrilo anymore. We're forgetting about you. :(
