There is specific chain lube that I think is just goopier and stick in the little nooks better.
I'd probably just have used jb80 or whatever I have laying around.
Got to be careful what you use, bike chains often have rubber o rings in that wd40 or similar will corrode and damage - get a dedicated chain lube and consider a grunge brush to work it in well.
Also worth going for a 10 minute ride or so before cleaning if you can to warm it up and in future if you're going to let it stand for a while, hose the chain down before you leave it.

I'd say it's priced a little high, maybe 35-40k kr would be better.
Still a great DD tho!
I find that harbor freight hand tools are pretty good but the sockets, wrenches, and power tools aren't very good.
[editline]4th January 2017[/editline]
the air tools are pretty good though, but a lot of spinny ones have some nasty speed wobbles because they don't bother to grind the collets, just machine them. not a problem with an impact gun but an air grinder with a death wheel with 10 or 12 thou of runoff can be pretty dangerous.
The sockets and wrenches are about the best you can get, without going to a tool truck.
I've broken quite a few USA and Chinese craftsman sockets, but never a Pittsburgh Taiwanese one.
I love my Pittsburgh Pro stuff, I got a set of smooth black sockets which might be impact sockets that I really like. The rough black impact extensions aren't that great but get the job done. I've had a set of ratchets which I've abused the living hell out of, they still work perfectly.
They have some really cheap sets of pliers and screwdrivers but they're not nice by any means, anything that comes in a set for the most part at HFT is cheap and throwaway.

5 dollars is a steal.
EDIT:
It's Serj that's doing a turbo Dart build, right? I've been sitting on an CL ad for a '66 Dart that's got the tower, and want to get his input on how the whole process goes. It's either that or I throw in a 318.
Yep yep, Serj! He's usually easiest to catch in instagram it seems like.. which I don't know his username to.
Here's more engine assembly.
I've been trying to be super super surgical. Washing the hands with brake clean a bunch, going through a million clean towels, cleaning cleaning and of course oiling the snot out of everything. I cleaned the cylinder bores a bunch until the towels came out white after a wipedown with brake clean, all the stuff. I *think* I kept it all clean and dirt/dust free.. but time will tell when the engine gets started.
That being said, here's exciting stuff.
The Autozone piston compressor worked really good for me, the pistons tapped right into their oiled bores.. here's 1

And 4.

And cruising along.. I'm in love with the color scheme. The GM alternator bracket kit was worth the $40 or whatever I paid for it. Bolted right up, no drama, no annoying fab work, cake. I think it was "Trail Gear" brand. Really nice. I'm waiting to put the oil pan on, but haven't yet just incase. Still waiting for head bolts to really go much further with assembly.

And I slapped my new ebay wheel onto the column today for fun. I can't wait to drive and grip that grain LOL!

Be careful with those ebay wheels, I've heard horror stories of some being really weak
For the price I paid I wouldn't doubt it :v: Keep a spare in the trunk.
I looked up my car's blue book value. That was a mistake.
Serj's instagram name is Davidwc22 i use that a lot aince i never have time at night to just turn on my computer and use it. Shortly i will. Right now I'm sitting in the e.r. thought i had muscle pain for a week. Could be gall bladder needing removed. Also pretty sure more than 10 of you have me on FB feel free to share that as well. Its all family in the a.a. lounge.

$12.00 and some pizza hut coupons for 10%off?
my truck still has 4 grand in kbb. too bad I've got more than that just in the motor
[editline]5th January 2017[/editline]
I wish I could put poor condition into kbb. it's trying to tell me my old 03 impala was still worth $1500 with suspension components constantly breaking and a ruined interior from having absolutely no working seals

Welcome to why people overprice their shitboxes on the 'List. :
Bluebooks at $2k. It's a steal for $1500 :v:
After 6 hours im out of the e.r. all tests are negative. Ultrasound shows nothing wrong and im also not pregnant. The problem is thats super frustrating because now its mystery pain that is likely to last for months as the er. Dr. Described.

Matt Farrahs, of the smoking tire, gnarly foxbody mustang was in the shop for most of last year because the steering was fucky. He has the steering rack rebuilt, the column rebuilt and it still wasn't right. Then, this week, the shop realized the aftermarket china hub that came with a wheel some company sent him had broken and allowed the steering wheel to rotate free of the column. :v:

ridiculous price for a nice e30 here in denmark, remember it has the m50 swap and all.
it's already gone though before I even had a chance.
My mom had her gallbladder removed, shit sucks. Hope you feel better soon
I have almost none of my unnecessary organs. I am what you call superhuman. The problem with all this is i cant work in this state so ive been turning down jobs. That means no money. That means no Dart Parts. The car is just sitting their waiting for a starter...
Fuckkkkk. I thought this thing was mint... It was rotten from the inside out. So you couldnt see anything was wrong as the paint on the outside was okay.
Since it's just the underside I'll cut some more away and weld a plate on top of it.

doing minor bodywork after sanding everything down and crossing my fingers I can finally paint it before february
Super trick nasty!! That thing is lookin grunge, in a good way.
Huh. Been pretty cold the last couple days, low 20s yesterday, mid teens tonight. When I get in my car to leave work my transmission acts up, like it slips when it's super cold. Once it warms up its fine.
Slipping isn't quite right, it feels stiff.
Sounds normal to me as it can get thick when cold.
Mine will chirp the tires going into each gear for the first few miles, and will be ~10 miles before the ECU will decide to lock up the TC from it getting up to "temp".
Cardboard up and idle that bitch.
Yeah, guess I'll just sit and wait even longer while it warms up.

Windshield was a bit frosty
I tried to start my RV in 28 degree weather once. It was a fun experience. There's a button on the dash that says "start assist" which both connects the house battery to the car battery and sets the choke all the way open. Even with that I still had to crank for about 20 seconds and hammer on the throttle like a Thumper the rabbit. The thing then had to be idled for about an hour before it could make it out of the parking lot.
It was -8C (17F) yesterday, didn't even notice. Yay fuel injection!
That feel when you pull into the car wash after 10 hours of working at -5 to -12f temps and the heated water freezes on contact on your vehicle.
Looked pretty badass rolling from the wash to the garage with a ton of steam coming off tho
