Its a turbo suzuki G engine, 1L, makes a whopping 79ft/lbs at 3500 rpm!
I dont know what the fuck the person was doing, mechanics are like mad scientists. Turbo is in good condition, no shaft play, $60 fuck yeah.

Put it on a minibike!!
Someone put a turbo Suzuki engine in a Mini?
Put it on a minibike!!
There are some pretty large and accomodating minibike frames out there, and a lot of them dont have suspension so you wouldnt have to worry about bottoming it out. Just stick it in sideways and put a beefy fuckin pulley drive on it, done.
Today was my first ever day doing bodywork.

Send help I have no idea what I'm doing

I just got it, it's too young to die ;w;
I'm already in love with it, and it just doesn't accept me. It doesn't think feds are real cops.
Oh, God, that cluster looks familiar. That little orange blinky light in the left looks really, really familiar! :saddowns:
Welp, my Grand Am just blew an oil seal or something. 2 days ago I noticed that, somehow, my oil levels were high. I decided that I'd change the oil this weekend. Last night, my oil pressure light came on (when I started my car to leave from work) and it made god-awful clicking the whole way home. Drained the oil to find there was basically none in it now. This morning I checked where the leak could be coming from to see it draining over this cylindrical piece (which I believe is my starter) from somewhere above it.

(The piece on the right, I mean, not my oil filter)
This wouldn't blow dogs for quarters if it wasn't for the fact that THIS IS MY ONLY TRANSPORTATION FROM WORK AND BACK. So now I'm looking into a new-to-me vehicle on top of finding a fix for this.
just keep adding oil it'll be fine

Not perfect, but much better.
My ICE car (which is less than a year old) started making a weird clicking noise at idle on the way home today. If this car shits the bed I guess I'll just sell it and get a Renault Zoe Z.E 40. Hopefully it just needs some oil or something.
It's like this but not as loud:

If it's similar to that sound, you may have a noisy valvetrain issue. What year and model car is it? Sometimes valves can be adjusted, even in a hydraulic application. But "slappy valves are happy valves" so if it is the valvetrain, the noise isn't necessarily bad.
You could also have a bad PCV valve diaphragm that is popping open and closed all over the place, those are typically on the "Back" of the engine in FWD applications.
It can also be belt noise, from the idler pulley, chain slop, or a few other things. Know somewhere where you can get a stethescope?

It's a 2016 Vauxhall (British brand of Chevy) Corsa E 1.4 SXi. First registered it in May 2016 and done just under 15k miles on it.
I'm gonna kill anyone that says ice car next.
It's a car you faggots. We have not reached the point eletric cars have reached mass production.

How else are we supposed to identify the type of car it is easily? You've got your standard ICE car, HEV (hybird), PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle), FCEV (fuel-cell electric vehicle), and BEV (battery electric vehicle). Not sure the acronym for natural gas engines are? NGV? There's millions of non-standard ICE cars on the road.

your ice is worn out, since its outdated inferior technology, you should replace it with some other type of power source

apologize for being presumptuous before someone impales you with a 30 year old diesel v8

Fair enough, I'm just used to having to label it elsewhere. I don't seem to have much luck with cars. My last car that was just a couple of years old had it's turbo completely seize up.

everything but internal combustion is fucking weird and nobody is going to assume you've got a tesla.
just tell us what the make and model is, that information is a thousand times more relevant and useful than whether or not it has an engine

I feel like you should take it in under warranty then?
I feel like you should take it in under warranty then?
I'm going to take it in on Tuesday. I was just wondering if anyone had any rough ideas of what would be the cause of such a noise on a relatively new engine.

Poor build quality, some sort of leak, poor maintenance, ect.
A defect probably
Poor build quality
I'm tempted to just get rid of it a buy a shitty EV if it's going to start costing me a bunch of money but I was hoping this car would last me until I can get my Tesla Model 3 without having to sink a bunch of money into it.
The dealer told me not to put any oil in it since apparently the first set of oil is some special stuff to collect debris from the engine manufacturing process and the car would just give me a ~months notice when it needed changing, so I haven't really done any maintenance to it. I kept my eye on the oil levels and there's a bit under half left on the dipstick but it's starting to look a bit old.
I was looking for something more specific than "a defect".

Honestly, it's one of those things where "It's under warranty, who cares"
Seriously don't even open the hood till the warranty expires, none of it is your problem.
If it's still under warranty don't even think about trying to fix it yourself. If you do anything they can void the warranty, hell I've heard of some warranty's being voided by not getting your oil changed at the dealership

Even if it was your problem, I wouldnt even mess with it if I were you. modern teeny weeny turbod engines, theres so many things that could go wrong, and a lot of the time theyre nigh impossible to service yourself. Just take it in for warranty work, and if they say its not a problem, drive it till it becomes a problem, then have them fix it.
Honestly, it's one of those things where "It's under warranty, who cares"
Seriously don't even open the hood till the warranty expires, none of it is your problem. Odds are if the ticking is audible, they'll figure it out. Sometimes dealers will typically replace the entire engine if they can't figure it out. It's cheaper than putting in man hours to look around and do an investigation at a warranty claim.
Now where's the fun in that? I didn't intend to fix it myself but I would enjoy poking around a bit to figure out what the problem is.

Don't poke around. Don't even tell the dealer that you pulled the dipstick out and checked. The fun in diagnosing a car is due to a used car, and trust me, we don't enjoy it, it's just necessity. The idea of a new car is specifically that you get someone else to fix it for you as part of the cost you paid.
Well I sorta enjoy it
But my car is new enough to have nice useful obd codes and old enough design to be a cheap blubbery v8 that one can fix with zipties and $50 parts.
I wouldnt try to diagnose or fix a modern car if somebody paid me book price to do it.

its fake, the guy who owns the gtr owns the lambo too
So, i need some suggestions/advice on wiring.
For a long time, I have wanted to convert away from standard 12v outlets on my equipment.
I constantly have issues of plugs working loose, wiggling out, etc.
An alternative that keeps popping up is RCA wiring.
Supposedly it can handle the <3A loads of dash cams, cell chargers, etc.
It's small, easy to work with.
Thoughts?
I would be able to run a 12v-5v converter and have the RCA bank would be 5V as is, the cords would have no converters.
