They outsource all their little engines iirc
It's a 14XEL engine according to the manual which Google finds a wiki page for as a "GM Family 0 engine".

Am I a carfag now?
Well, after just over a year, it's time to say goodbye to my beloved XV750. I was planning on selling the bike for $1300 (same price I purchased it for) despite the hundreds I put into it and really wanted to see it go to a good home. I mentioned this while on Discord with a couple buddies of mine, both of which are roommates. My buddy really wanted the bike, and, when he said he couldn't afford the $1300, I began scouring Craigslist for a cheaper bike, and came across a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja 500 for only $1000, original owner, and only THREE THOUSAND MILES on the ODO. Drunkenly, my friends roommate offered to loan my friend the thousand for the bike provided I traded him without extra cash my XV750, to which I instantly accepted. We drove the 30 minutes that night to check it out and I rode it right home with minimal problems. All it needs is a new front right turn signal and the carbs cleaned due to it having been sitting for close to 8 years. Amazingly, it rode 20 miles home with nothing more than the choke cracked open a little. It's surprisingly ballsy and a huge change from my XV750, being much faster with substantial top end. She's a real beaut. [t]http://imgur.com/ujJRp1O.jpg[/t] [t]http://imgur.com/LKM76GJ.jpg[/t]
There is literally no reason to buy a vauxhall, they dont work well or reliably. A friend had a corsa vxr and despite being brand new it was virtually undrivable within 12 months. Fiestas are lovely.
I do like mine. I'm not sure about the new model they've got coming out soon, it's similar but at the same time... eh. That's why I'm looking at a Focus for the next car. I really like the look of those and they have the option of the bigger Ecoboost engine. My current car is on PCP finance, and as I said, I don't plan on keeping it. It's a 3 door which looks good but is impractical as hell when trying to load my guitars and other music gear into it. The 1.0 struggles a little when the car is loaded up or full of people as well. The balloon payment will be too much for me to pay off, and I'll have done too many miles on the car to just hand it back and walk away, but I was told when I got the car that if I return to that dealer for another then the excess mileage fee will be waived. Hopefully I can get a Ford used approved car in the spec I want since that'd keep the cost down.
So I narrowed the leak down to my oil pressure switch. That's a pretty easy fix in my car. Just gotta figure out how to get to it.
Found it and fixed it, but sadly now there's a rod knock somewhere in the engine and at this point it's not even worth fixing.
Found it and fixed it, but sadly now there's a rod knock somewhere in the engine and at this point it's not even worth fixing.
Fix one thing, find another broken. Repeat until you have restored your entire vehicle on accident
So this evening around 8 PM, I stopped by a local liquor store (a LARGE one, known for having everything you could possibly think of available in the US) for some brewskis. I casually made my selection, walked to the counter and began to check out. While conversing with the checker, a large black male walked through the door. I continued my transaction as he approached the opposite side of the counter, where a female checker began interacting with him. I finish my transaction, and just as my checker hands me the receipt, the man walks behind the counter - one hand is filled with a fistful of cash, the other under his shirt, holding what appeared to be a medium-sized handgun. The female cashier told my cashier, "You need to empty your register." Confused, he says, "What?", and again she repeats herself - "You need to empty the register." I look at the black man, and we lock eyes - his were huge, pupils black as night and looking either scared or on more crack than I can possibly imagine. At this moment, I couldn't decide what the best thing to do was - so I simply picked up my bag, walked out the door, then flung my beers into the passenger seat of the Miata as the top was down, and jumped right into the driver's seat and fired up, and took the fuck off, with a brief glance over my shoulder to see the man running across the parking lot towards a local restaurant. I made it maybe a block before calling the liquor store, told them I'd seen what happened and offered to come back to make a statement. I flipped a u, and by the time I'd gone a block back the PD had set up a full perimeter with over 10 squad cars I counted. I'm home and safe, just received a call from the PD, and it looks like I may be finding myself looking at a lineup soon. Crazy shit. Never been faced with such a situation before. Talk about the heebie-jeebies.
I'm glad this stuff just seems like it never happens in Norway.
doesn't happen all that much here either really. america just has a lot more liquor stores to rob. a single store is just as likely to get robbed here as it is just about anywhere else

Making yourself available with testimony is far more useful in the long run than any heriosm in the moment. If they ask you to testify, please please do it. I strapped the minibike to the back of my truck and took it ice fishing yeaterday. I had to go through a mud pit or two to get there, but once i got most of the mud and gravel out of the sprockets and bearings, it worked fuckin fantastic. More grip than riding on dirt. Ill add a pic or two in a bit. One of the guys already fishing there was jealous as a high school girl. Everybody like minibikes. I definitely had no intention of intervening - I felt no fear for my life as the man did not appear that he wanted to hurt anyone, he just wanted the money. Ironically, the cashier kept talking about how he'd wished there was a bottle on the counter so he could have smashed it over the dude's head, which could have gotten me shot out of trigger reflex the way the gunman was facing. Dickhead.
No one's life is worth the wage of working at a liquor store
Still busy trying to get the back-side into shape. Ran short of filler, hence the middle part looking like crap. I might have used too much body filler in some area's. But that's because it's 3 layers thick. Impossible to dent out from the inside. And I dont have the proper tools for it. At the worst spots the filler is about 0.5 to 0.8cm thick. Then because I get distracted pretty quickly I disassembled the rear subframe, and cleaned it to bare steel and gave it a spray just to see how it would turn out. I was gonna spray the entire suspension and subframes anyway, and this colour looks pretty good.

I'm not sure on the colour....edit : for the suspension Vote agree for matte black like this Vote disagree for another colour
Matte black will be really hot in summer, fyi
So it looks like the Subaru is gonna cost me way too much to fix a few issues that have finally caught up with me. I was just at a Subaru dealership yesterday and I was looking at the 2017 Impreza Sports. Turns out I can get it with leather (dealer offers it as an option) and in manual. What do you guys think of them? I know they're relatively new since they redesigned them but I don't know if anybody has heard anything about the newer Subarus. I think they use the same engine they've been using the last few years?
Matte black will be really hot in summer, fyi
If I'm not reading him wrong he's asking about the colour of the suspension parts.
If I'm not reading him wrong he's asking about the colour of the suspension parts.
In which case, disregard.
If you're going to do black, do a combo of satin and gloss like this daytona [thumb]http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/2401/3021/31001510062_large.jpg[/thumb]

I'm going to paint the car white.... i think... I'm still in doubt between pure white, or green again... White +Looks really clean +Cheap +Easier to paint because I can do the entire car at once Green +Looks pretty good with black, and carbon. +I'll have 2 E36 green racecars. Which is kinda cool -More expensive -More work to paint because of the 2 tone (white interior)
Well you could always vinyl-wrap or plasti-dip the exterior later if you go with white paint.
Saving up for a '14-15 Lexus IS350. Choosing Lexus over Mercedes/Audi/BMW because I care more for reliability and comfort than performance.
