I prefer something that looks stock, or as close to stock as possible. At least, something that looks really striking, but to most people who aren't crazy informed looks like it could have rolled off the truck and on to the dealer lot looking that sharp. "Natural" I guess. Most mods, even if you're spending lots of $$$ on a SUPER SICK paint job and rims, look like trash just because they do not go with the vehicle. Either way, since we're on the subject of looks, I still VASTLY prefer it to the modern car culture of the shittier your vehicle looks, the better. When people with banged up rusted old-ass foresters are seen as some of the coolest guys in a hobby, I want to avoid it like the plague. There's this guy beating around town in a passat wagon on rusted steel wheels, faded paint, body damage, and a mismatching hood who thinks he's very neat, and I dunno why. I'm sure I've missed the hoonigan stickers on it, because I'm positive they're on there somewhere. They're literally the exclusively flannel-wearing, greased up shitty beard, thick framed glasses "the less effort the better" douchebags of the automotive world. /reeeee
HELLO
Aha, dad's work truck. Bad fuel pump at the moment and pushed into the woods until we can fix it.
Orange is a tough color to pull off because unless its a muscle car it just looks like a manufacturers attempt to get a few extra sales from kids ala a kia soul A balanced orange such as this could work: [thumb]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/c8/68/8c/c8688c33ea59f16e2ea01d8ac1cc2420.jpg[/thumb] Where it still standa out, isnt dark enough to look burnt, and shows well with black
I just like it because I grew up staring at my dad's AAR in amazement, so that's where the bias comes from. However, I think most people agree that it is more or less orange car perfection (not literally his car, but exactly like his): [t]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/36/80/41/368041e3206dd0fc65158c10fa4a5a6d.jpg[/t] The prospect of it being mine one day actually, legitimately scares me because it is so valuable, well kept, and full of sentimental value to me. He's had it since he was 17. The only time I got behind the wheel I was legitimately afraid to drive it on anything but the deadest road in Virginia.
Cudas are fucking stunners. Not too many cars look great in any color.
[thumb]http://minipontocarcolection.weebly.com/uploads/8/9/7/7/8977044/6255934_orig.jpg[/thumb] Bmw's have always come off as sleek, all business cars. A paint job should reflect the theme a car gives off. If you want white, this still stands out, looks professional, and gets the race car idea across. Also @evilweazel I agree 100% A vehicle must blend its features together, and sometimes less features works better. Too much stuff going on leaves the viewer to see all the individual things, rather than the car as a whole where everything works together. I hate the trend of big gawdy wheels because they're the first thing you look at rather than the car

Where does your minibike get its warranty work done? If a beat up passat is your idea of fun though you must at least attempt to get a brain
Apparently there's a way to finangle a fix to that window issue in the 2000+ Caddy Deville. So I'm gonna spend try and work that out and send it in for inspection so I don't have to exclusively drive at night and on back roads. also it drives like a dream omg

[editline]24th January 2017[/editline] I just hate people who put a lot of effort into making their cars look like they've put the least amount of effort into them. Low effort cars are shitty DD's you beat to shit at every given opportunity and would abandon in a ditch on fire.
angle grinder a hole in the back section. works everytime.
We are just missing the ~$170 for a quality pump at the moment. Not sure how the $100 off brands do, OEM lasted 250k some odd miles

Pull one out of a junk yard
It's a chevy fuel pump. It's gonna die. Just when. Same with 60e's overdrive, certain year lq heads, dod valve train, g80 rear ends and my most favorite is the fucking thermal actuator for 4x4.

The aftermarket pumps tend to die in about a year, whereas the OEM ones usually last about 200-250k miles I bought a $100 parts store fuel pump back when I was driving my parents Astro van when the OEM pump died at about 220k miles and it lasted a year. It got replaced with an OEM pump from the junk yard and it lasted until the day it was scrapped 3 years later. :v:
I hate you guys. Now I don't know what I want AT ALL. Any idea on how I would get the exact same colour? And what's wrong with the white interior? It's pretty standard for a racing car. Anything black will get insanely hot inside.
So if anyone was wondering about my shit car I just got back from the dealer. Apparently the noise is normal and it's just the injectors. Not sure how he could tell that when my dashcam shows the guy just standing around playing on his phone and playing Planet Rock on the radio quite loudly.

If they refuse, ship the video to corporate along with the local media outlets.

They ran exposes on Jiffy Lube, one of the largest oil change/light service franchises in the US, where the mechanics did literally nothing and got them sued for millions. It's great press. I usually just do 20 mile trips. I asked about changing the oil and they just said wait till the service is due. [editline]24th January 2017[/editline] I have done 15k miles on it so far.
If your warranty allows it (I hope it does) take your car to a non-dealership mechanic and see what they say.
change it every 5k. I've never heard of a company suggesting 20k between oil changes. are you sure you're not confusing oil changes with scheduled services?
