I've been seeing really really REALLY good things out of the Chinese new 20v batteries for tools.

yeah they've all been pretty good. the casing has been universally crap but they tend to use new old stock brand name lipos. I've got a knockoff dewalt battery on one of my cordless drills that lasts longer than the original and cost a third the price
Smart man! Definitely take the MSF, or whatever equivalent there is in Norway. It's saved my ass so many times over the last 5 years - well spent.
To get my license I need to do a "road safety course" (aka do a 5 hour trip with my instructor) and a "track safety course" which I don't know what entails, but I reckon it's going to be about riding technique. Before I do that I'm not allowed to ride it at all. I also need to get it detuned and re-registered if I'm keeping it.

What's the difference between a normal Dart and the 270?
What's the difference between a normal Dart and the 270?
Trim package.
I think it goes: Dart (base model), Dart 270 (mid level), Dart GT (high level, buckets and console but V8 is optional, Dart GTS (340/383/440 V8 only high level)
My Dart is a GT, its a slant 6 column shift with buckets, I really dont know what kind of options are trim level specific because I've seen bench seat 340 4 speed GTS cars
I think a Dart 270 you get the luxuries of a heater!!! (Holy fuck) and a radio (you spendy person you!) and the wonderful POWER STEERING!! (girls are tossing themselves at you circa 1968 by now)
Although dodge is weird because again, you can get stripper GTS cars with no heat/no radio/no crank back windows/manual steering/manual brakes with a 440 on a bench seat
[editline]26th January 2017[/editline]
In other news, sold the 70 340 4 speed duster today along with my truck in the background (pig on fuel) not before robbing the hood (whole reason I bought it), the hens teeth grille emblem, and various misc parts (try finding a heater delete plate in Canada!!!!)

I also traded a really shitty truck I had out back for this not too bad ford ranger. I honestly have no idea why the kid traded me but he was happy so whatever!

I'm thinking of doing a thing where I fix a vehicle and then only trade it for something else, no selling, and then do the same with the next vehicle. After about 5 vehicles see if I have something cool!
60's trim stuff
Makes sense because back then, the popular way to buy a car was to go to the dealership, see a demo car, and then fill out a form with checkboxes for the trim you wanted, so you get all sorts of weird trim combos from that era.
Are there regulations on how many vehicles you can sell in a calendar year in Canada?
Are there regulations on how many vehicles you can sell in a calendar year in Canada?
Technically it doesn't matter so long as you're not a business, but I plan on flipping a lot this year so we'll see how that turns out. I have ways to stay under the radar though
Alberta is the only place you can really effectively do it because all the other provinces charge 10-12% on vehicle sales. So you you sell a $10000 vehicle they want $1000-1200. FUCK THAT and FUCK THEM.
when I say 5k I mean 5k miles. the only people advocating 3k miles are shilling for oil companies
I can say that, as recent as ~2000, manufacturers recommended 3k mile oil changes.
All of the '99 Subaru's recommend 3k mile oil changes.
I believe it was '02 when Subaru started allowing 5k oil changes, though any severe driving (cold weather, short trips, city driving, offroading) drops it to 3k.
My diesel states 5k for all highway, 3k for any city driving or severe duty.
I average 3500 miles on my oil, depends when i have time to change it.
My car was a checkbox special order car. $2,899. The 270 was more a decorative option Sally. It meant you got stupid looking stainless trim down the sides and chrome wheel well lips, and carpet instead of rubber. Removing the radio was actually an option, and a rarely done one. This car was ordered in Bronze with a Premium Green Interior and the interior sheet metal and dash was painted "Racing Green". It was as barftastic as you can imagine. She ordered the solid black tires instead of white stripe tires ($50) the larger 225 engine instead of the 170 ($25) and the toqueflite instead of the 3 speed manual ($150).
In the end most people with a 270 Dart and a slant six assume they have a special 270ci slant and its impossible to convince them otherwise....
It's so strange seeing your Dart in that bold blue instead of turbine bronze, but it looks great. What happened to the white top you had in the original post?
I have the paint but havent done it yet. Im debating if i want to have all the blue redone... and then paint it. Or never paint the white. Its a dilemma.
my truck spits out about a quart of oil a week so the oil never gets too bad, I usually just top it up every week

You watched the fake milwakee ave video didnt you
its called will fuck ye get it right
Gotta piss with the cock youve got
I usually do my oil changes for my vehicles every 5000km (3k miles) and for the diesels at 7500km (4660 miles).
The diesels suck to do because they take 12 GOD DAMN LITERS! And its black as death every time. With my new dual bypass amsoil filter I can do them at 32000km (20000 miles) instead after getting an oil analysis.
I've always done 3K.
It's what we recommend at work, and I'm well aware its us trying to squeeze the most shekels out of people as we can, but it's already too routine for me to bump it to 5k. It's not like it's gonna hurt me, right? :v:
Put my golf to sale  I need a diesel

keep your stick on the ice.
I got the same problem with the replacement battery for my old ass Makita.
Even when new the original ones had a smaller capacity compared to the off-brand one.
Also experienced the same with the replacement battery to my shitty old HP, it lasted almost twice as long as the original.
Its a factory mopar color, J6 "Green Go", its a single stage color. You could phone RAL and ask them to match it?
As for the cage, it doesn't have to be black, my dads cage is a gunmetal grey so its a little "cooler" inside while still appearing dark. You could also put in a roof vent?
Tint would help a whole bunch, I dont know what the rules are for racing, i'd go with 20% so you can still see while keeping the light from getting in, even do the windshield as well. I know that sounds weird, but its a trend up here with diesel trucks to tint the windshield and from the inside with 35% you cant tell the difference except outside.
@Aetna, I was waiting for that comment :v:
Nah she's taken by a pretty decent dude.
To make it hurt more, she has a 1967 barracuda and she's going to school to be a heavy duty mechanic
I read a bit more into Green Go, and found a company that can produce the old original Green Go. As well as the new 2017 Green Go

What do you guys think of this colour? If I go with this one, should I also paint the underside green?
I could do the same colour sheme, I got a carbon roof. Could possibly also get a carbon hood to complete the theme.
I like the colour you've got now and wouldn't bother repainting it if it was my car. I'd also keep the underside black, it's not going to be seen by anyone (hopefully) and is going be dirty after 100 meters.

I'm not repainting my green E36 M3 race car. I'm building a new (second) racecar.
I'm torn up between these 3
1. Go Green (Pictured above)
2. Hellrot Red

3. Alpine White

Agree for Green
Disagree for Red
Informative for White
Yo, so what's up guys. I need your guy's help to prevent my roommate from doing a stupid fucking mistake.
He's 23 with no Driver's license, yet he's getting it Friday hopefully. He's never owned a car and drives on his permit with his GF. So since he's taking his test Friday, he want's to buy a car. I have (Myself included) Have multiple friends with more than 2 cars they would be willing to part with for under 1,000 to help him out. Yet he is apparently meeting with a car dealer to buy a brand new 2017 Chevy Cruz or some shit. I argued that he needs a down payment first and he just keeps telling me it's 0 down. Now I don't know shit about buying car's from dealers really as I do all my car shopping on CL/Facebook but I'm pretty sure that even though it's Zero down, don't you pay car tax's first?
And not only that but I tell him he should at least save up money to put somewhat of a down payment AND he's going to need at least a grand for Licensing it. And he also said that for his car payment and insurance is 513 a month. Now I'm not sure if he's just telling me that. But that seems rather cheap for a First time buyer, with hardly any credit history, and no driver license expierance with no down payment.
Now I like my roommate, but I keep telling him it's going to probably be a lot more money then he thinks and should just end up buying a cheap car first. Yet he doesn't want to buy a car that he doesn't want. Now I am waiting for him to get off work so I can try and talk some more sense into him, He makes decent money and his rent his cheap, I think he makes 12$ an hour or so. But I just don't want him (Even if he get's approved) make a massive financial mistake and end up tanking. So what is some advice I could give him?
He won't qualify for zero down and tax needs to be paid either at the dealership or to the DMV, and it's going to be over a grand, most likely.
He's probably going to hit a financial wall that he can't pay for and be pissed about not getting the car more than he's going to make a stupid mistake.
In the end, though, he's an adult. If you've sat down and gone over it with him, there's not much more you can do but let him make those mistakes.
Your friends a moron
Can he afford the yearly registration tax + inspection + full coverage insurance + 3 claims on his insurance that hes going to have in the first year + the $400 monthly payment for the next 5 years.
I can garauntee you that payment plus insurance is going to be more than $500 a month combined for a new vehicle and single new driver policy.
He literally cannot afford this vehicle. Dont lend him any money. If he wants to do this, let him fail on his own.. especially at $12/hr. Car salesmen live for this type of low intelligent buyer.
If hes 23 and still riding on his learners while also working a $12 an hour job chances are the guy never really has had all his ducks in a row and is prone to poor decisions.
If hes not willing to listen to logic then hes a moron. Let him crash and burn.
Nevermind buying a $17000 disposable car that will barely fetch $8000 in 2 years plus having to pay full covereage insurance until its paid off
Buying a new car as your first car is fucking dumb.

12/hr doesnt even come close to affording a 500/mo payment.. even with low cost of living. 0 chance he'll be able to keep that up for 5+ years
also, imagine paying 500/mo for a cruze wtf
