Plz no
And the cycle starts again. After sitting on the Dart ad for too long, I've moved on to either a 94 530i V8 Wagon, a 73 Valiant, or a Civic VX. The BMW has sat for a while, needs a fuel pump, but apparently drives. A V8 RWD wagon would be sweet, but BMW repair costs. The Civic would excellent for the commute to work, but the quarter panels are trash, which probably means their is rust everywhere underneath. The Valiant would be the ultimate project car. Really needs a resto, and is 3+ miles away, but only 600 bucks. Would definitely need towed. Eh, I'll just wait a couple more weeks for the ads to be delisted from Craigslist, and then I'll move on. Again.
I called a tow truck to receive my truck in the restaurant parking lot. Im just gonna lay down now. To be fair to AAA my truck still has a nasty missfire.... How do I check wires? Do I just ohm them using a multi meter?
I've always just yanked out a plug wire to get AAA out
I wish I had to, but when I checked compression and tried to diagnose a tick I broke off 1 park plug at the ceramic. Used a plug from the suburban and thought that the borrowed plug was also a problem child. Well I got new plugs today and still I have a random missfire, it seems to only show its self when you put a good load on the engine. And because I'm down on power will make my torqe converter lock and unlock alot because it's half in the knockdown and half not. I've checked every single thing atleast twice and still I see no issues why it will misfire. I hate ignition.
Describe the valiant.
Have the ad description
225cubic inch "slant 6" six cylinder engine Single barrel Holley carburetor 3 speed automatic transmission 138,000 miles (double check before posting) This car is listed "as is" meaning what you buy is what you get. Please review the photos and information below but I recommend contacting me for any additional information you require. I will send photos or you are welcome to see the car in person. I expect you to be informed and inspect the car before buying. This car has been in my family since it was new. I know it has not been abused. The worst fate this had was when it broke down in 2004. Before this it was driven daily. The problem that caused the car to stop being used is believed to be the bearing on rear axle failed. It has been sitting since 2004. It does run but poorly, sometime requiring gas be directly poured into the carburetor. It did run over a bush in the 90s and the front was damaged but has been repaired. There are several new parts that I will include that have not been installed such as the new dash lights and the carburetor rebuild kit. There are several new parts that I will include that have not been installed such as the new dash lights and the carburetor rebuild kit. There could be more, I will have to check. The dash is still there but it was removed for rebuilding. This car was located in Tennessee from new (1973?) until July 2016. It is now in Ohio. I only mention this to say it has not been exposed to heavy salt every year. On this same note it was not always parked in a garage, though sometimes it was, and has been exposed to the sun and elements. New items installed on the car: · Floor pans patched with new metal- welded in place · Transmission filter and fluid · Windshield wiper assembly rebuilt (all new bushing under dash) · Gas tank was removed, cleaned and new pickup unit installed · New fuel pump and fuel filter · New carburetor gasket · Differential oil was recently replaced · New battery · Battery box was repaired Headlight adjustment mounts have been replaced Items checked and questionable: · All brakes were checked and work properly · Steering is ok, some worn parts · Paint is original Definite problems: · There is noise in the rear axle/differential area when the car is driven · The tires are almost 20 years old · The carburetor was rebuilt in 2010 when I obtained the car but most likely needs to be rebuilt again. · The car runs but appears to be getting to air. Most likely leaking intake gasket? · Dash needs the voltage limiter replaced · Interior needs to be rebuilt- seats, carpet, dash pad and headliner for certain
If you were up in Canada I'd toss you a rear for it, dinky 7 1/4 is scrap metal to me.
Yeah I can't seem to find one that doesn't have obvious bad body work or engine problems. It's like an E30 but worthless (beat up cars are often $700 and under). For that you get multilink rear suspension and your choice of 4, 5, or 6 cylinder engines that are easy to work on, and easy to find new parts for. Just make sure you replace the front ball joints (can be done yourself for cheap, or $200 a side at an indy) or hilarity will ensue. If you see arcing on any wire, replace all of them, it's cheaper to do this then to just replace 1 at a time. If you can't see anything, then get a volt ohm meter and read the resistance of the wires. It should be 3000-12000 ohms for the typical freedom mobile, measure the resistance of every wire. If they are not within a few hundred ohms of each other, then replace. Don't buy cheap wires, as you will buy 2-3 sets in the time that 1 good set lasts (QA issues notwithstanding).
There seem to be a rule regarding old BMW's being abused to hell and back no matter where in the world. I'm still all kinds of silly for a sharknose, but a decent condition one costs a fortune.
Late but: I do own a somewhat decent 73' BMW :^) There are also quite a few in a good condition in France, thinking about getting my self to get an other one from France and switch bodywork things around. Someday I will get myself a decent 3.0 csi, or just an E9 aswell, but that still seems so far away I also finally got the carbs tweaked right and it just drives so much better now
Did it. It became a little more expensive than I would've liked, but whatevs, still a decent deal. I have a much smaller Yamaha and already signed up for motorcycles lessons come spring or whenever.
So I went and picked it up on Friday. Left Friday morning, 5 hour drive to the auction house. Had a lot of doubt about it on Thursday, and even as I was getting close to the place, but when I saw it there wasn't a doubt in my mind. I was like a little kid on christmas. Key was in the ignition, and it had done a whopping 4200km. Battery was low but it cranked, backfired a couple of times. Probably mostly stock, might have a little bit of a tune on it, I'll have to check the air filter to find out. Put it on the trailer, spent the night at a girlfriend's place and spent the next day visiting family. Came home around 11pm and showed my 14 y/o sister how to put on the quick connect for the charger. Let it charge through the night and fired it up today and it was a magnificent moment. Hearing it fire up was beautiful and I jumped a little when I revved it lightly. Since my insurance requires the bike to be parked in a locked garage I trailered it to my mate's dad, and with a zip tied clutch I got to ride it around his house and into the barn. Felt like I was about to whiskey throttle it and the clutch was very on/off. Not going to think much about it until I get it properly attached though. Already found a guy parting out an earlier bike and a shop selling a used Akrapovic slip-on.

I love how left and right rotors are priced different.
OK so does anyone know how to deal with this? [T]http://i.imgur.com/ra1JJPFh.jpg[/T] This local place keeps placing glossy fliers on cars around campus and they bake into the paint in the sun. Half the cars around campus are stuck with this residue. How would we remove this crap?
Hot water/heat gun
best way to remove it is to sue for damages

Goof off And a pointing a gun in someone's direction while yelling at them in Arabic.

I'm not sure what your ignition system if it's coils or single coil with a dizzy or what, but in some cases older distributors can lose power under load. Check your coil's voltage and see if it drops when you get it under load. Your problem may very well be an electrical issue.

No need to use goof off unless if you don't give two shits about your paint. Make sure to record what time you start, and what time you end, and be sure to take more breaks than a New York City Housing Authority agent. Take the recorded time and bill them for it at a livable hourly wage.

The company won't even apologize to anyone and the police said they can't do anything unless I actually see the person handing it out. From what I've heard, anyone who tried to go up to court was met with the defense of "but it wasn't our flier that damaged your car, it was the weather and your negligence!"
Squeeze a fat greasy shit log out onto or into one of their vehicles Nothing says I win like making their car into one that smells like doo doo Doesn't get sticky shit off your car, but it's a moral victory
