Bury a claymore beneath fast food bags. dare them to go digging.
Hey clutch and/or anyone else with knowledge. Lately theres been some kids breaking into cars in my neighborhood and stealing shit. When i got my vic, the anti theft module had been cut out. The panic button still makes the alarm go off, but that is the only way. Now i dot keep anything valuable in my car, so if someone wants into it, they can help themslves to my collection of fast food containers, but i like the idea of scaring the shit out of anyone who busts a window or opens it with a slim jim. Is there any reasonably inexpensive way to make this happen?
Honda guys sometimes glue razor blades around where the hood cable goes, generally tweakers just get their hands on a bunch of keys and go crazy. If you have a reliable keyless, delete your door handle lock cylinders.
Mom used to put rat traps in her center console and glove box when we had people digging through our cars.
I just discovered an anarchy symbol and other bullshit keyed into the side of my car. I'm very annoyed, can anyone specifically recommend a touch-up pen?
A 9mm is great for touching up the problem

Electric shock was discussed, but I think he ended up tying some razorblades to the hood star on his orange wagon.

Blasters need to become more common place on cars. That'll teach people to fuck with other peoples rides.
electrically charge your bodyshell when you leave your car so anyone that touches it gets shocked

Any tips for removing the old head gasket from the engine block? Bought some gasket remover, been going it with that and a plastic scraper all day, made barely any progress.
Grinder and a gasket wheel.

I was honestly considering the legality of a remote activated shotgun shell under the drivers seat So many trucks are getting stolen around me In other news I ordered the manifold for my truck. Billet CNC'd steel, really sweet piece [thumb]http://puredieselpower.com/images/detailed/30/steedcomp2.jpg[/thumb] I've wanted one for as long as I've liked these trucks, they're just damn expensive

Some sharpened nails in actuators under the seat connected to an electric fence transformer in the trunk set to shoot the nails up just enough to punch holes in the theifs ass cheaks and shock them till they shit their pants. Connect that to an alarm that doesn't sound off, but instead does the nail thing. Bonus points for useing one meant for cattle. Won't exactly kill them, but may leave brown and red stains on the seat for use as a future deterrent. Or paint on wire connected to the transformer and color matched to the interior so as to hide it. No matter whats touched they get a zap. That actually sounds better then the first one, less mess.
If your car has power seats and a driver's airbag, just set it up so in the event of a theft, the seat moves forward and inclines fully, once the absolute scum is crushed against the steering wheel, have the airbag go off. easy done If your power seat is too slow, set the doors to lock. Alternatively, if you can't afford to change the airbag often, just lock the seat fully forward and inclined after driving

[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5601782/EF%20Pics/2017-02-17%2016.39.09.jpg[/t] Pulled the cam and rocker assembly out of the Civic, have at the minimum a bent intake valve on cylinder 3 and very poor valve seal on cylinder 1. Cylinders 2 and 4 hold 50-60psi with a healthy amount of oil added on top of the piston. Now I have to decide if I want to bother messing with my 200k mile block that has decent compression but craves oil greatly. Or if I just want to drop another engine in it and, toss only a new timing belt on that while parting out what I have. I guess I'll have to pull this crap head again and find out how mangled the valve seats are before I buy any parts... As much as it being a shitbox is irritating me I'm stuck between if I should get rid of it and buy something else or continue sinking money into it since it's already had so much done to it. I suppose I'm only into it like $2000 which seems about on par for what I personally value(d) it at. I'd love to just say fuck it and pick up a D15B but freight is spendy and I'd be looking at over a grand. Wish I could pick it up local but the only non-scumbag place that has JDM engines just has trailer loads of $400 B20Bs. https://www.hmotorsonline.com/motor-mall/d15b-sohc-vtec-long-block Maybe I'll get lucky and cheap parts will fall into my lap.

Well, for the first time in probably 7 years, I drove my step-father's standard. Only stalled once... or twice.... or 40 times.... Not bad for never actually owning a standard....?
Its ez. I am as dumb as they come and learned on my darts 40 year old 4spd. Literally anyonr can manage it if I can

My roommate who is still learning to drive on a permit and needs practice didn't stall the thing once on his first practice with it :v:
Its ez. I am as dumb as they come and learned on my darts 40 year old 4spd. Literally anyonr can manage it if I can
Once I started getting the clutch better, it wasn't too bad. My problem was I was learning on a 2016 Mustang with hill assist. So I did decently up until starting on the hill in the parking lot. Well, the way that hill assist is once you're in gear, you can let go of the clutch just about completely and it'll keep engaged until you rev. So remembering where that bite point was kept fucking me up.

So before I kill myself and or ruin my car, is this an ok place to jack up my volvo 960? [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/VqWJrZS.jpg[/thumb] I can't jack from the front because there's a plastic shield in the way of the front crossmember (where everywhere online tells you to jack from). So I have to do it one side at a time. I asked a mechanic guy who I know at my work and he said that should be ok, right? also I think that's what the manual says to do too. https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/service/850/JackingAndHoisting.pdf edit: Unless it's ok to jack it from this part between I think the oil pand and the plastic shield?
