I've got the opportunity to buy a '65 Vespa, I'm not a scooter person but I always thought Vespas were cute and I like antiques. Thoughts?? Engine is running supposedly. $1000 [editline]27th September 2016[/editline] Wow those fuckers sold it after telling me they'd hold it, my own cousins smh
$1000 for a Vespa sounds like too much anyway.
Well I finally bought it for 1500. Stock everything except for window tint because Florida and a CD player the previous owner put in.
I love working on cars I really do but man sometimes being "The mechanic friend" gets old. A buddy of mine has an '02 firebird WS6 he calls me up at 8:30 this evening and goes Friend: Hey how do you feel about grabbing me and the firebird and helping me replace the oil pump? Me: Sounds good when? F: Umm tonight? M: fuck, When do you need it by? F:.........Tomorrow morning at 7:30.....(friends GF) has the truck in Grand Junction at her parent's M: Fuck me running......Okay.....You're buying beer
Utah or Front Range?

Theres a few little things that could probably due with being mentioned. A good idea would be for everyone else to do write ups of the vehicles they're familiar with, a real guideline from people who have used and repaired them!

They're great rigs, as long as you aren't looking for insane power.

The only thing to make them the best is a solid front axle. Engine wise might as well link this and this because you will definitely need it. :v: As a lot of people have said, they are not "heavy duty" diesels. If you're getting a diesel honestly people are gonna make that bitch work its entire life.
gigantic displacement medium duty naturally aspirated diesels are beautiful and everyone should have one.

The op is now just a spiel about diesels :v: We havent had a proper OP for a bit, maybe make a community one together? I'll clack something out shortly
Have we ever had an OP? :v:
As far as I remember no. I can fell the community based OP. I will think about what I would submit.
The hell would you put in it. All of it would just have the answer of "it depends" since there's so much freedom and unknown with every vehicle
"Fuck your novel gobbler engines and bow down to the mighty LS god."

I love Driver 2. I currently have it running on one of my hacked PSPs! Played that for hours and hours back in the day!

A buddy of mine down south is switching over to an LS based car for drags and subsequently parting out the engine/trans/other goodies outta his mustang he called me and gave me dibs on a D-1SC procharger setup for a 351 for $2,000 if I want it. I want it and could install it in my truck for under 3K total including the D-1SC (need new pistons to drop compression along with some small shit) but the question is do I want to daily an 800+ HP F-150 as well as if that answer is yes do I just want to revert the lift kit back to stock and put the 8.8 rear back in (got a D60 in it now) I guess I could drop it into the CJ but that would up the cost considerably as while the 350 that in the CJ is built it's not nearly as stout as the 414 in my truck
Lower the truck 1.5-2" from stock, put fat tires on it, and smoke some Mustangs.
I'm highly thinking about it what I would probably do is buy it and wait til spring to install it cause A. I wouldn't have to daily a street slicked 800+ HP RWD truck in winter in Colorado and B. I could also save back a bit of cash and buy another mud truck quite possibly a diesel this time
was there a cougar behind the wheel of that cougar?
I'll admit, I noticed the model badge and license plate frame before even the license plate. I need help....
Anyone here have a Jeep Cherokee XJ? I've got some questions about some rusty frame damage.
