back them into the driveway. it'll look like you moved them and the city can't tell if they're plated without trespassing. this is unregistered car 101
Well it's too late for that now, somebody cared enough to complain, they won't shut up just because the cars switch places. Move it to a friends place for a short while or fix the cars.
Yo, so the city swung by and just gave me a "ORDINANCE VIOLATION NOTICE" About my 2 300zx''s I have in my drivewau, one is a roller and the second one is having title issues (Guy that I got it from has title, but he's never signed it over in his name. It's been like a year) and gave me 3 weeks on to either get rid of them or get plates on them. What should I do? First off I'm about to pay off my house in like under a year. Since it's technically my land. Why do they have the right or care about cars that don't move much? And it's not like they are rusted down pieces of shit. The roller is mint
Your neighbor complained so someone came out and investigated. Your local ordinance is probably dealing with property values. You pretty much have no option here
I'm doing a translation of this shit because it's so fucking amazin but I'm struggling halway at the first post lmao [editline]7th October 2016[/editline]
It ain't fucking real ! The comments were mutual when we we're wondering with Vepa when MERCCEDES vomited chains or crack via awful clanking to the outside world in the middle of nowhere. That ain't no problem we took gps-coordinates with the cell phone and woke up a estonian taxi driver to pick us up and while waiting we spotted stovepaint coloured and stovesized datsun cherry that had been last driven -95 nevörföget to coastsweden centrum and back. that's what we went to get jag inte tala svensk Cherry owner was worried about the destination on the phone (because there ain't one) and said you shouldn't buy it. That was good enough for us to go look at it. The stamp on the inspection was as wet as the protectionmass on the botton, Åke had bough cherry from neigbours Trygve and inspected, gas had so much lead the tow hitch scraped on the test drive, on which I got lost. Thankfully we left Vepa as loan. Maintenance book is full of swedish, I though the place that fixed this up was called kamaxel rembyte but it meant timing belt. Changed 10 thousand kilometers and 20 years ago. The interior weeps of the rising country trying and special blood-red themes, It's feels like I'm belted waiting for Hannibal lecter to come eat. The binocularnipplestereo only plays sommartiden and abba och surströmming. Plates were finnish though, and souvareiden best in the cassette deck, made me feel home sick. Got a flashback to younger years of turbo-cherry times and getting driving license about 20 years ago. Didn't remember that accelerating aggresively made the drivers mouth shaped in the same ellispe as the meters on the car. And you can put the rear side glasses in to smoking position from the middle console. That's all. Cannot believe this weird karma when yesterday evening we put on shorts with Vepa and the sunscreen to our backbacks, went like normal people to normal midsummer trim and this shit happens that our merc diesel engine explodes with only 487 thousand kilometers on it. This is what you get when you praise it too much. Ain't nothing to do but look at get middle cuts and look at the views through Alpina-glasses and once we get enough cherry kilometers to round the tires(there's some flatspots on the steelradial michelins for standing since the mark times) It won't be gold in the datsun cockpit, when the outside temp is 26 the inside temp is the same as radiator so about 88c celsius Rest of the trip will go with no problems and we don't know where we are going. The roller is mint
Do you have a garage? Best to stick em in the garage if so, no one will know. Even if it means you displace a different car for a while (assuming it's titled). The other option is to just nut up and buy a title for whichever one you're going to keep. Or title them both if you're planning to keep them both. Just means you have to pay now instead of later. Car covers, too. I have my parts car next to my garage with a cover on, and that means you can check if it's titled without tresspassing either.

Always amazes me when neighbors complain about a couple cars sitting in someone else's driveway. Like fuck off, it has no effect on you whatsoever. Unless it's oozing fluids down to the sidewalk there's no harm in a couple rollers taking up your own space.
got my buddy's '98 grand cherokee started. it had been sitting for 2 yrs so we changed the battery and it would turn over but wouldn't start. turned out the distributor cap was unplugged. we changed the oil and oil filter and shit. now the battery is dead. been looking it up and apparently grand cherokees from that period have lots of weird battery drain issues. gonna hook up a voltmeter to the battery and pull fuses to try and identify which system is draining the battery

Decided to check the spark plugs of the eclipse I still can't get to run. Took some effort, they've probably never been changed in the car's lifetime of 135k miles. I pull them out, they're covered in oil along with the ignition coils. Time for a new everything
It's a bit more complicated than that
whaddaya think about the shitroen? is it the spring upper bearing that's the problemo
But it hurts my view when I try to put my nose in your business though.
That's all it is. "I don't like this." Is what it boils down to. Your property is your property, and two cars sitting on concrete isn't hurting anyone.
this fucker made noises like "shoosh" when I turned the tire. I'm glad my "gf" is angry and I can spend the weekend troubleshooting this POS [editline]7th October 2016[/editline]
That's all it is. "I don't like this." I'll be carless if this lemon don't pass inspektion. Steering is fucked. I googled and apparently it's the spring top bearing(? thats a thing) holy shit [editline]7th October 2016[/editline] I just have to say that I've spent years and years and years here, in the FP car chat, even though I've never had a proper car, and ya'll never shoved me away. I fucking love you guys no homo. [editline]7th October 2016[/editline] I just want to work on X and it's cool to look at your shitboxes and not-that-shit-boxes
My Eclipse has been parked in the street with the inspection out for at least two years. It won't pass because of a dumb gremlin with the brights that I can't work out, but I drive it around town and stuff during the daytime. Never been ticketed. v:v:v

Still have to sort out the suspension bearings [editline]7th October 2016[/editline] everyone says about the cheapo compression springs "dont buy these you will die" but no one has died. 17 euro for the compression shit, or 270 euro.. I'm a nihilist enough to try my luck
Replaced my high pressure power steering hose today. Now I have nothing but funmoney for my car and not moneythatneedstobedumpedintoittoensurethatyoucangettoworkthenextday
Borrowed money from my grandparents, i now own the '99 SUS. $2,336 after registration, tax, etc. Book is $3,500, so I'm happy. Plan to get it to my mechanics tomorrow and start working on it. Has some Viper alarm installed, it locked the keys inside TWICE when i was looking at the car. It needs to go. Already bought an OEM keyless to go in its place.
That's awesome! I'm actually saving up for an S54 engine too. Pics of the engine bay? Looks like a great car man, congrats!
Thanks! Here are a few photos some people took of it [t]http://i.imgur.com/FMkq1o7.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ojJnrjb.jpg[/t] Also, just installed my new coilovers yesterday. They're BC Racing BR types, the car is a lot sharper now and it handles really well. not sure who here is heavy on style oriented drifting ( i.e. Final Bout ) but Super D Matsuri is going on and a bunch of the final bout and internet car homies are coming through to drive Grange in Apple Valley i'll be there

Next order of business is some glasspack resonators/mufflers and new tips for them.
On Wed. I drove over to my friends place since he was gonna help me with my car. It was a 50 minute drive with speeds up to 75/80 MPH, and I popped the hood when I got there. It smelled like maple syrup inside the actual engine itself. Now this typically means coolant is leaking, or a headgasket is about to blow right? Should I get it checked out soon, or could it just simply be because I drove it such a long distance, for a long time, at high speeds. The car is an 08, so it's only 10 years old, but it only has 58,000 miles on it.
maple syrup..... That's a new one. If you open your radiator cap and theirs water still in it, and your car is not a fog machine then don't worry about it. Only panic when water starts to disappear at a rather large rate. You should also taste each fluid a car has, it increases your senses on which one if leaking / burning. sweet smell sounds like antifreeze, does your oil look like chocolate milk? if not, I wouldn't worry about it
So I go through these bursts of working on my car. I'll bust my ass on it when it finally needs it and slack off afterwards. I want to make my Grand Am look a bit sportier and I found myself looking at hood scoops. Now it's a fuel injected system, no cold-air intake or anything installed, so would there be any real benefit to them? (I do intend on either finding a way to jam a turbo/supercharger in there, or at the very least a cold air intake eventually.)
Im about to become the owner of an old (Idek the year, seller will contact me soon) v8 land Rover. Its done 250,000ks, and is in otherwise good nick BUT "the steering goes funny at high speeds (like 100km/hr)". Is that an easily fixable problem or..?

Does it wobble? Does it pull? Does it get hard? Does it get hard then soft then hard again? Does it require you to run the car in administator mode to go above 100km/h?
