So has anyone watched the Bathurst 1000?
I eatched tge mint 400 today. First tv coverage of a rally ive ever seen. I dont watch a lot of tv. Fuck tv.
There was a televised rally today and no one told me?
Replaced the coolant temp sensor on the E320 after finding out that's what was causing the CEL. Today I'm going to work on removing the instrument cluster and seeing if I can use the "foam block" trick to fix the dead pixels on the outside temperature and the clock displays, also need to replace the info center bulbs.
Aside from that I need to remove the blower motor to see what the fucking issue is and replace my cabin filters (which I'm assuming has never been done on this car) also replacing the driver's side window regulator whenever the new one shows up on my porch.
No one has a blank for the ignition key on my SUS, all their blanks are too short.
Going to try a small shop that does their own grinds.
Never had this issue before

I was going to invest in a key cutting machine because no one here can fucking cut a key plus they lack the weird specialty keys that come on trailer locks and stuff.
Better than fucking Grove cut keys I guess.
Fucking stupid.

That camera angle down the front straight is like it's right out of a video game!
The driver's side window motor simply fell out of my car just now. It's rattling around in the door card.
[editline]9th October 2016[/editline]
And within ten minutes the passenger side seat-back lever snapped off, too.
[editline]9th October 2016[/editline]
This is in addition to both left door power locks being broken.

Shit, I think mtod finally fixed being able to hotlink right to the videos on their servers. I may cancel my subscription now. The main reason I got it was so I could share it.
I blame that asshat who was reposting the extra episodes on youtube.
Ok so Im collecting the rover this Saturday, its being towed up to my town. The steering seemed fine during a test drive but who knows! Its basically just gonna be a camping rig but Ill get someone who knows what theyre doing look at the steering once all is said and done. Fun fact, its actually a 1991. Some rust on the bullbar but the chassis is in excellent nick! Paints a bit faded but thats fine.
Other fun quirks include it won't idle properly on petrol but will on gas, the latch for the bonnet needs to be replaced or it may fly open while driving, and the immobilizer is just a little mainboard with a battery sitting loosely in it.
Oh and its missing a passengers side mirror. Needs a fair bit of tlc but nothing impossible

I drove two paper routes this weekend in the tropical depression coming through our area. Never had an issue with raising and lowering my window all morning in the pouring ass rain. Get out this morning to do it in the dry. It won't lower....
:v:
Goddamn Serj that looks phenomenal!!! Gonna strive for my build to look that good.

But he was litterly recording them with a phone pointed at a tablet....AND YOU COULD HEAR HIS REGULAR TV OVER WHAT THEY WERE DOING MOST OF THE TIME.
Talk about dodgy work.

Idk but here they are actually different things :)
Who was it that was converting/experimenting with gas vapor in their minibike?
Watched a video about it's use on a mower and taking a risk checked out the comments.
For once some top comments that don't seem like they'll give ya cancer.
I didn't really listen to the guy, it turned to white noise while I was reading the more interesting stuff.

aayy thats me
I put a predator 212 on the minibike lately, but I havent built a vapor thingy for this engine yet.
EDIT:
Yeah, thats some pretty good info, I just wish he would have communicated better in the explosion part of the thing. First he says it wont blow up, then he says they have blown up with spark arrestors, then he says again that it will never blow up.
I was evacuated to Atlanta because of the hurricane but it all turned out pretty awesome. Especially because I got to meet Magnus Walker at the meet he hosted at the Atlanta Zoo! Really cool guy and just meeting him made me want a 911 even more.

On tonight's episode of [del]Roadkill[/del]Homelessness,
Homeless Trekkie buys this 1979 Explorer 2600 with a Mopar 440 that's been sitting in a field for a year for $1200, and we fix the fuel system in the field, drive it in a circle, then road trip it over 100 miles to home in order to clean it out and live in it.
Why?
Because [del]Roadkill[/del] homelessness.[/QUOTE]
I've been heavily considering doing the same so I can live in Vancouver and I got a CAmper lined up. Thing is I couldn't get a proper opinion from ICBC on what I should do about the two propane fuel tanks the engine uses and were installed almost 40 years ago.
Further adventures in jaguar engineering.
I need to replace some fuel line in the boot, and figured it'd be no trouble. So i chop out the battery, open it all up and siphon out the left tank. Now i've run it dry before, and one tank will be filled to the fuel cap with about 4/5ths of my jerry can. So i jam the hose to what seemed the base of the tank, get the vaccum and let it flow. It fills the can to the brim and stops, and it seems like the tank is dry.
I then undo some fittings and get an exxon spill.
Where did all this extra gas come from? I have no idea. But there's still gas in there, and i need it to get in this can.
So i break out the haynes manual and find there's a handy dandy drain plug hiding under the bumper for just such an emergency, and all that stands between me and it is a small black cap.

Now a reasonable man would presume that it's threaded, or could be squeezed out, or is just loosely retained there and could be pushed aside. And that man would be wrong. No, it's held in there by all the screws and bolts that hold the entire rear facade onto the body. Because of course it is. And to get half of them off, i have to take the wheels off. Because of course i do.
So after jacking up the car, removing all the stubborn screws and bolts with all the WD40 in the world, and pulling the bumper off because of course that's attached to the sheet metal that has to come off, the sheet metal wont go anywhere, and nor will our friend the stupid black cap.
And then it dawned on me as i glanced at the sheet metal seam, at what i'd thought was just some blobby build up of rust paint. Someone, somwhere, for some reason, has tack welded this panel on. And the only way to remove that fucking cap is to break it, or break out a death wheel that i don't own and start cutting up some welds, and repaint it with paint color that nobody makes and i don't have any of.
Jaguar.
The EF hatch is converted to OBD1.
Now to commence the haggling. I have a 3 hour drive, have to tow, and the fixes on my side. Hopefully I can get him below 1 grand.

I'd ditch the propane tanks and ancillaries, but that might be because I've witnessed a 30-ish year old caravan/trailer/whatever explode because of leaky gas line.
Fortunately it (and the area surrounding it) was evacuated before it happened, but I still have great respect for compressed flammable gas in large quantities.

That's more screwed up that Rolls Royce lug bolts that are left hand threaded on the drivers side and right hand threaded on the passenger side.
Also I don't know if you can call that engineering, Mercedes at the time was putting fuel tanks above the rear axle so people wouldn't die when rear ended.
That's so jaguar
Who was the guy who put a bar in his 7 series BMW?
