I got shouted at for parking in the low emissions vehicle parking spot despite having a full tank of E85 that burns cleaner than PZEV vehicles. By someone in a second gen Prius, which is an ecological disaster on wheels.
Joking aside we do in Kamloops and up in the Cariboo not like death valley or anything
Where the hell are you hailing from? Kamloops is my turf.
there are 2 stages of provisional license here, the first is called a learner's permit where you have to have a licensed driver in the car with you and can only drive during daylight hours, the second is called an intermediate where you can drive alone, but only during daylight hours, then there's the standard class r license that lets you drive any regular car or truck. motorcycles require a motorcycle endorsement on your regular class r license, and big trucks and vehicles over a certain seating capacity require a commercial driver's license. there are a few other weird ones floating around but that covers 99.9% of what you'll see. [editline]24th October 2016[/editline] for commercial vehicles there are class a, class b, class c, and class d Class A – Any Combination of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more, or towing a vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 pounds or more. Class B – Any Single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 pounds or more. Class C – Any Single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of less than 26,001 pounds. Vehicles designed to transport sixteen or more passengers, including the driver. Vehicles used in the transportation of hazardous materials which are required to be placarded under the Hazardous Materials Transportation Act. class d is just a catch all to cover anything that requires a cdl but isn't covered by the other 3 classes. plus the endorsements system for cdls H – Authorizes the driver to drive a vehicle transporting Hazardous Materials K – Restricts the driver to vehicles not equipped with air brakes T – Authorizes driving doubles and triple trailers P – Authorizes driving vehicles carrying passengers N – Authorizes driving Tank vehicles X – Represents a combination of hazardous materials and tank vehicle endorsements S – Restricts the driver to school buses being operated for the purpose of transporting pupils to and from school or to school related functions. [editline]24th October 2016[/editline] the weirdest other license you can get is the restricted motorcycle license which allows you to ride a motorcycle and nothing else. plus there's stuff like hardship licenses which allow people who normally wouldn't be issued a license like underage people or people with a recent DUI conviction to do things like get to and from work or go to the hospital as needed if they can prove that they have health issues that's getting them in and out of the hospital e: oh and there's a limited learners permit that allows 14 year olds to complete drivers ed
here in wonderful best dakota, anyone can get a learners permit at 14, drivers ed or not. that means you can drive anywhere in your state in the daytime if theres a liscense holder over 18 in the passenger seat. Then after 9 or so month of that (shorter if you do take drivers ed) you can get a restricted minors permit, which is basically the same except you can drive alone and out of state. Then at 16, bam full license. Class 1 is normal DL, class 2 is motorcycle only, and class 3 is car and motorcycle. Tow the vic behind your RV and escape commiefornia before the san andreas fault has enough and decides that the west coast is better off at the bottom of the ocean.
I heard someone here on FP is giving away cars in texas.... Texas is hot, place to be.
Does anyone here have any experience with karting? I've been looking at getting into it (competitively/racing) and was looking for some kind of resource or guide to starting. There's an event at a nearby small track in a couple weeks, but they don't have arrive and drive karts, but I might swing by to see if I can get some advice.

If youre just gonna buy/rent one I guess its a moot point. I guess their entire channel could be summed up in three steps. 1. find crappy old kart 2. slap on a predator engine and torque converter 3. drive it fast enough to break it and/or yourself

[t]https://i.imgur.com/JnYOQUs.jpg[/t] average college student's bed right
I need to get a picture of my friend's dorm room, the entire suite is pretty much filled with car parts everywhere. There's a whole exhaust system from one of the guys' golfs and his rear bumper as well, a new front for another one's STI and at least two sets of wheels. That's just the stuff I can name off the top of my head. :v:
Watch carsandcameras channel
Especially their 420cc EFI turbo build. Woh man.
Truck is running and driving! Now I gotta plug some stuff back in and do a whole other plethora of work [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpshb1wcykm.jpeg[/thumb] Does anyone ever look at their dilapidated frankensteined hunk o' shit and think "god damn I love this thing"
[t]http://i.imgur.com/gSTBEbV.jpg[/t] Yup.
Especially their 420cc EFI turbo build. Woh man.
Eh, that was nice, but it kinda seemed to me like they keep slapping cool parts on it, but in the end just make it more complicated and not much better. Now the 670cc v-twin cart, that thing would be worth almost any injury caused by it. Thats on a whole new level of way too much power on tiny things.
That's true. The 420 doesn't seem as refined as their 670 build. That's a wheely monster.
Youre not from Japan you can't get away with weird shit like that.
That's true but my car is and those lamps make it a lot easier to tinker on the move as they are powered by the battery.
That's true but my car is and those lamps make it a lot easier to tinker on the move as they are powered by the battery.
You gonna have to outline what you really mean, I googled "cedric 1950 lamp" and got this. It looks something like this. It's a bulb on a stick with a long cable that you can use like a torch but instead of been powered by a batteries it's powered by the car battery.

My new bike has finally arrived at the dealership *little bit of excited wee* [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3798635/2016-10-25%2015.11.39.jpg[/t]
Turns out the karting event I was looking at has rental karts... And a 2-hour endurance race that same weekend... Might have to schedule a crash at a friend's house and do a whole weekend of racing.
The guy with the SRT-4 hasn't responded in about a day. :/ I swear, I think people just put stuff on Craigslist to fuck with people. I legit want to buy a vehicle, but so far this is the fourth person to just ignore me after negotiations.
I dont have a complete answer for you as each state can regulate it differently, but where I am the provisional license is a class D. This is typically for people ages 15-18. At 18 you gain a full privledge license automatically. Class D is any vehicle under 26,000 pounds without air brakes. The provisional license limits passengers in the vehicle and driving hours. Additionally, any DWI conviction invalidates your license until you're 18 and must redo the entire licensing process. You can drive any vehicle under 26k pounds and without air brakes minus motorcycles.
26 thousand pounds? You're all mad. Our regular licenses (which you can only get at 18 mind you) are only good for 3500kg/7700lbs. Want more? (like a american truck), you can get an uprated license which is good for 7500kg/16500lbs. And finally you have one for trucks over that. And that's without touching on the that fact those licenses only let you drive stuff with a max of 9 seats, and only very light trailers.

I can drive my 12,000lb RV with no problems at all on my regular ol' car license.
