My brake tank is almost empty. I have the fluid but I cannot get the bottle up to the tank. The lid is right underneath the floorboards of the cab. I have no idea how it's supposed to be filled.
Remove the floor, duh But seriously, probably consider making some kind of hatch?
nah obviously top up your fluid through the bleed nipples using brake fluid filled syringes
Are you handy enough to do it yourself? Then yes.
Well I'd have my father's help who was able to change a gear box in a front wheel drive automatic.

So today I was teaching my friend how to drive stick in the parking lot of these university apartments when two cops show up with lights and stop us. Apparently some kid called in an "Audi street racing and doing donuts in the parking lot." Had to explain that we were just there to learn how to drive stick and not actually doing anything bad. I guess the screech noises from the car stalling could have been thought as burnouts? I have no idea. Cop ran my license and stuff, but just gave me a warning since she figured we really were just there to learn stick
No she wrote your a warning because she can't do anything to you on private property without you being noticed for trespassing , reckless endagerment or destruction of priate property. Areola could probably tag more along in there too but honestly cops think they have giant balls in parking lots when any ticket they write has a very large possibility of being thrown out because it was not on the road.

Even went in traffic within like 20 minutes of first starting. Afterward we found this oddity: [t]http://i.imgur.com/bPSI0Hz.jpg[/t] Which, of course, is a 5-speed so I brought up the topic with the owner and he noticed my friend accidentally peeled out in the street. Explained that no, he only just learned how to drive a 5-speed and we weren't trying to drive like asses :v:

She was a really nice police officer though, was very understanding. I had talked to her before when she passed by one of our car meets on an on-campus parking lot.
Fixed the diesel, found someone that wants to trade wheels + tires again. My 285/75/16 Sierradials on Duramax alloys, for their 265/75/16 Cooper/Starfires on 16x8 Pacer alloy bulletholes. Don't want the smaller tires, but the low offset Duramax rims keep tearing my tierod boots.

That's like if I'm chilling in my driveway, and a cop come by and says "We're had complaints of people smoking crack over here", but then after I explain that no one is smoking crack he runs my license and hands me a written warning, "Don't let it happen again." Sorry..? What are you supposed to do, not let your friend drive your car in the parking lot again? Either way people (whoever 'called it in' need to keep their big nose out of it when it has nothing to do with them).
Got my big rig going!! Roll pan is still drying, so I made due with bolting the plate to the box and callin' er good! Missed driving it so much but I didnt miss the sloppy steering haha [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpshj8m7uyz.jpeg[/thumb] It turned out pretty good except the only place to dry it is in the garage so some dust got on it, and it was cold out so I rushed putting clear coat on so it ran a little. Otherwise good enough for me! Good friend bailed on me tonight for halloween, no explanation, and a chick I've been texting went and hung out at her guy friends house (new news to me) instead of seeing about planning something out with me, on top of that my great grandma passed away... so I did the only logical thing and beat the snot outta my truck and bought pizza! How have everyone else's halloween weekends been?
I get to work on halloween

I can see why there was a bit of a reason why though. The parking lot had a decent amount of donuts and drift marks all over where we were practicing, and recently there were a few incidents with kids getting caught doing dumb shit like that. She told me it was totally fine that that we were just practicing though, and told me of a few other places incase the overflow lot gets full. On other news, gonna be Rally-X'ing my E46 next week. Time to raise my coils and hope for the best
Anyone other than brute tried recovering seats on ATVs and such? It looks very doable......

Anyone knows what this whistling sound is? A car mechanic told me it's "normal" for turbocars to sound like that but i think his just shit. I got no check engine lights and no fault codes found. Anyway it does not sound healthy and i don't want to send my car to a shop so they can troubleshoot because they will charge me like crazy for just that. Car is Saab 9-3 03. I would Appreciate any kind of help.
that is your turbo
That's air being sucked into the turbo. Normal
On a note of sucking air, I love the sounds my carbs make when I take my air filter off
That's air being sucked into the turbo. Normal
I mean, it started sounding like that recently so thats why i find it strange.
I mean, it started sounding like that recently so thats why i find it strange.
Might be turbo bearings starting to go bad, or a pinhole leak in a boost pipe somewhere.
I asked Saab Turbo Club of Sweden about this and they told me that it sounds like my turbo is giving up. Thanks anyway guys.
Does anyone know where to get a front bumper skirt for an 85 Skylark? I need one for mine and it looks naked without one. [t]https://scontent.ftpa1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/t31.0-8/14859909_1110191772369885_6950078633894827380_o.jpg[/t]
[thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile Uploads/image_zpsyuannoi0.jpeg[/thumb] Been wanting one of these for a while! Relocates my filter to the frame rail so oil changes are a breeze, gets rid of black sooty death oil, and if the oil analysis comes back good, potentially 20000+ km oil changes. Uses a full flow filter (i think I can use the stock cummins one) and a 2 micron filter to keep shit clean. Clearancing my roll pan for the hitch on my truck, should have pics later
Got my Weathertechs in this past week.
So, I drove my dad's truck this weekend for the second or third time, and pulled his trailer for the first time ever. He completely sold me on buying a truck now. And he happened to mentioned my uncle's company truck being up for replacing soon and hinted at my getting the vehicle. And I managed to get my 300 and my 700 King Quads stuck on logs this weekend after rebuilding my dad's tree stand for hunting season and firing in my uncle's new .44 mag rifle. It's been a productive weekend, in between three cases of beer.
Tonight I took the cutting wheel to the car for my favorite part.
