I haven't talked to them since the day I reported it. I'm waiting on the mechanic to finish up work on it so I can get it to the bodyshop without towing it.
About 2500-4000 each way I'd assume for a Ro-Ro and then temporary importation, insurance and what not. You'd also be stuck to driving it away from the port it's shipped to and waiting on it. It's probably cheaper to buy a used car over here then leave it to a used car lot or something. Unless you plan to maximize the 1 year length of importation, it's not worth the trouble unless you drive across the border.

200 euro. Runs 'n drives. Should be able to sell the various parts for 650 euro or so.
The ground wire to my siren was cut, i think by the dealer. Very easy fix.
Two of my plug wires were switched around, one is ~2" longer than the other and was on the wrong side. Did an OHMs reading, think the long one is out of spec, but not by far. Short one was 6k ohms, long was 9500ohms. Other long one was 8200ohms. Didn't check other short one.
The shaking from the brakes in my RV is so strong on extended downhill segments that my taillight lenses fell off.
[editline]5th November 2016[/editline]
This would be a problem if the taillights worked in the first place.

Replace them rotors dude, that shit aint safe. I know at least in my accord brakeing from 50 or more hard will shake the car like a home depot paint can mixer. I can't imagine a big ass RV doing that be any safer.
Does she fuckin' rip? Want it to?
Yes... Makes 270whp and 300wftq. Still learning how to drive it. Only driven a manual once or twice before this. Only stalled once taking it home and twice in traffic today. :P
Ah ok, I just thought it would be funny to drive a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side in the US.
it'd be funny for all of two seconds until you realize that your driving schema is designed for opposing traffic to be on your right
unless you know what you're doing, imo you should never mix rhd and lhd cars/roads
I'd love to do it and there's a few people already with drivers-side-on-right cars here in NY but you have to have a very thorough understanding of blindspots, because faster/passing traffic will be in your worst one. Ultimately I feel like it'd be much more comfortable to drive as a lefty, especially manual.

What's left is removing the wrap from the front badge and probably getting different alloys, the current ones give me mixed feelings. Steelies look great in the snow though.
What do you guys look for when buying a sole engine? Do you go from a dealer or whole parts car to pull it from? Junkyard car?
You would have better luck with some marine places down in Florida that do engine work to find you a sole engine there buddy.

Nevermind I found a website for you. Sole engines.

Oops When I meant sole, I meant just a pulled engine/crate motor.

Are one of the cam, balance shaft, or crank seals cut, nicked, or not flush with the tensioners? That could cause a leak into the compartment and sludge from the heat of the block.

like I said theyre buried somewhere in the mess we call a workshop so I dont even know where they are.
What do you guys look for when buying a sole engine? Do you go from a dealer or whole parts car to pull it from? Junkyard car?
Depends on your budget and the car.
Ideally, a rebuilt/reman engine from a good shop, though for a high mileage car, that's not economical.
Junkyard engines are harder to test than engines in cars, however, do compression and leakdown tests, look at the coolant ports, look inside the radiator, and youll get an idea of the condition.
I can pull these myself for ~350USD, though you'd need to do the timing belt, water pump, etc.
Mileage may be unknown on junkyard motors.
Oops When I meant sole, I meant just a pulled engine/crate motor.
Like fordlord said, highly depends on budget. I picked up a 5.3 with complete harness + computer and 4l60 for 800$ at a junk yard down near austin with 120k miles, prepulled on a engine stand ready for me.
You can buy a blueprint engine if your pockets are deep as fuck.
Just search near you use your opinion and WATCH IT RUN or have a compression test done with you WATCHING.
research mang.

most older british cars in the states are wrong hand drive for whatever reason and a lot of prewar vehicles are as well. the prewar cars usually also have goofy control layouts
