I thought in all Saabs you have to park it in reverse to let the key out.
Yeah, you have a gearbox lock instead of a steering lock (although later models had both) All manuals need to be in reverse to get the key out, and won't let you shift out of reverse without the key in. All automatics obviously have to be in park.
Sex shots.

hopefully I get the Z running this summer lol
There was a nasty clunk coming out of the front suspension recently, and I figured it was the endlinks since I just changed them, pulled the wheels off, checked all the fasteners which were all tight, put the wheels back on and the clunk is gone. I guess I have the magic touch lol.
My ten year old Mazda found another ten year old friend. Poor reliability buddies!

Today my knee accidently shut off my car while on the freeway, at night. Freaked me out for a second.
I also saw a car fire on the way into work today. Pretty cool actually.
Funny story about vehicle fires. This summer I had an OT shift which was outside of my normal working schedule which meant I had to drive in rush hour.
Of course I didn't comprehend this at the time so I left normally. And of course there's a fucking vehicle fire which shut down all but one lane. Made me late :(

Time to upgrade.
throw the hood in the bin and have the turbo sticking up 2 feet out the engine bay
Did more work on my SUS.
Cleaned MAF (looked brand new inside, maybe is?)
Started installing my own grounding kit
Going to test the knock sensor, maybe swap the one from my other Subie over.
Alternator - other car died last year at 240k miles.
Thoughts on swapping? 107k mile/17 year orig, vs 1 year old new Carquest (not rebuilt, new)
Congrats Lerlth, that's a beautiful color on the SRT. Having fun with it? Does it pop and gurgle like mad when you get off the gas?

Congrats on the new car! That's a very weird antenna placement though. Never seen other cars with the antenna sitting like that.

i saw an aveo lose its headgasket and probably something else and drop oil and blue smoke all over the road today on my way home from class
thank god there's one less aveo out there
Congrats on the new car! That's a very weird antenna placement though. Never seen other cars with the antenna sitting like that.
Kinda an older american car thing. Most the SUVs, trucks, vans and many cars had their antenna on the passenger fender.

My Kadett has it there too. It's not really an old American car thing, but just an old car thing in general. Pretty sure some old Mercedes's have it too.

Oh hell yeah. It's gurgles and pops a shit ton. So far the mods I know that have been done are:
3" Downpipe
3" Straight through
Billet aluminum fuel rail
Billet aluminum top end on the tranny
93 Tune (I need to buy the tuner from the PO, we don't have 93 here)
Big FMIC
AEM CAI (I hate it, it's like 3 inches off the ground)
Plus it has brand new XXR wheels, tires, and a brand new clutch.
I'll shoot an exhaust video when I get time soon!
Speaking of Exhaust, Just finished installing my new exhaust yesterday.

Sorry for the shitty Cellphone video.

Throw those in the trash where they belong
I'm having one bad thing after another with my Firebird, first someone tried to steal my car. after that I've had nothing ignition problems because they fucked it up and now I find out my trunk rusted out and my frame is sitting through the trunk. :(
So I've had my car for 7 months and my favourite thing to is take photos of it whenever I go somewhere new.
Here are a few that I've taken so far, sorry about the large images:

I don't like them. They're fat as shit though.
Stock is 205/60R17
These are 265/50R17
I like the stock look better.
Does anyone have any experience building a chassis spit? Thinking of building one, but I've only got a 160amp TIG machine and I don't have experience welding anything thicker then 3mm.
Buying one is too expensive for 1-time use tho.

Are you making promotional things for an MCU movie?
Picked up a dslr a few weeks ago so I can take non shite pics too now! Did some work on the bmw today, new rear pads and rotors and painted the rusty calipers, and installed this rear diffuser.

That diffuser adds a really nice flare.
So, I watched my best friend (who works with me at my job) cream a nice 6-pt buck on the way to work this morning on the road we both take each morning (he lives about four minutes away from me). So I guess I know what my next project car to help on is; and I don't have to buy stuff.
So I wander over to the garage after work today just in time for the mechanic to see under the car for the first time. As he makes his way under the car to inspect just how serious I was when I said "there is no front tank support" you can totally hear his amazement in his voice.
Okay I can see the straps you put in there...woah...wow. Uh, oh god there's nothing here. WOW.....
