So whos ready for $13.50 gas?
In other news, I'm soon gonna have to pull and fully clean my lash adjusters as the cold weather keeps them from doing their job till the engine is warm. All that I've read says they are just gooped up with deposits.
i think you guys hate doug demuro but i wanted to share this comment because it was hilarious and you need the video for context

Hopefully I'll finance a Tesla before the full oil-war starts here
It's a mitsubishi engine. Apparently you're supposed to pull the whole engine when doing timing belt and what not, but I can't really do that. So I'm stuck with cramming my hands into tiny crevices and depending on my camera to align everything
Which Mitsubishi engine/car??
Also, yes, Grenadiac, DeMuro is cancer :v:
Yeah I know he is but I had this in my recommended videos and wanted to watch it because I love trabbis, I only posted it for that comment
At least the trabant didn't come up with an unlimited mile bumper to bumper warranty
And AWD GTO! Lol. GM's Australian buddies make tremendous cars, the best cars.
Basically, the down side is that they never made a manual version and it won't go for less than $80,000 AUD, so secondhand it costs more than new EVO, STI and SSV commodore, almost as much as a new HSV GTS. But to be honest, I'd like a Coupe4 more than any of those cars.

I'm more of an EV guy, but I have a soft spot for Holdens and Aussie Fords.
God Damn that's cool

I miss having a truck. :\
Nah, Doug Demuro ain't half bad. Sure, he's no Chris Harris, but he isn't goddamn Vehicle Virgins either. Only the very early VV videos are anything worth watching. His monotone voice and rambling drives me crazy now. Just posts shit now.
I'm debating on driving my new Neon through the winter... Should I just get a beater vehicle and drive it through the bad weather? It's a Dodge, it'll rust to hell in the salt.
I own nothing but Dodges. It's a guarantee.
List!
2007 Dodge Charger Pursuit (Rusted in the fenders from winter)
2005 PT Cruiser GT (Nothing yet)
2003 Chrysler T&C (Rusted in the fender from winter)
1998 Dodge Caravan (Rusted a shit ton from winter, had to crush)
1995 Dodge Dakota Sport (Rusted in the fender from winter)
1989 Dodge Daytona ES (Rusted in fender from winter)
1989 Dodge Daytona ES #2 (Nothing yet, fingers crossed)

I think he only asked because the last time someone posted a Doug Demuro vid in the Videos subforum there were 50,000 dumbs and people talking about how he's arrogant and 'steals ideas from /v/' or something.

IMO Doug Demuro is using clickbait tactics and lowest common denominator humor.

Was that the one where he whinged about his Aston Martin for like 15 minutes? I just wanted to punch him.

No, it was about a kei Nissan van.
Car trailers are expensive, yo. I can't flat tow my car but would like an option to be able to move both my RV and my car by myself if necessary.
What about a dolly
What about a dolly
I suppose I could but wouldn't I have to drag the car along backwards? Can you do that? I don't really know anything at all about dolly towing.

Flat towing with a RV towbar would pretty much be your best and most efficient solution. You're either spending money to put it on a trailer which you'll have to maintain as well or you're spending money to make it into a trailer.
My instinct tells me towing the car along backwards will cause it to fishtail because the wheels don't straighten themselves out when going backwards.

I can't flat tow it unless I remove the driveshaft.
Your options are.
Flat tow with driveshaft removed.
Car Hauler.
Car dolly
1) Car on ass forward with the steering wheel locked and seatbelt through the bottom of the wheel with the belt locked too.
2) Car on facing forward with car dollies under the back wheels, a lot of repo trucks use this method on AWD vehicles.
Flat tow is the easiest and best solution to your delima here as it would be the most cost effective and would not require and additional registration for trailers and the added nuisance of carrying a trailer behind your RV.
I floored the wrong fucking pedal

That sound of a cable either going missing, or snapping, following by this ungodly sensation of your left foot suddenly missing a pedal. Fucking.
Got some flu, worst i've had in a long time.
3 days of diarrhea, first day while at work.
Spent 12-18 hours of each day in the bathroom
Can't sleep, stomach hurts like hell.
Can't get to the hospital, can't get out of the bathroom long enough to do anything.
Thought about sleeping on the toilet, was waking up with atomach pains so bad i could barely walk.
Heard this flu is going around, friends/family mention it in Maine and Michigan. Mine is abnormally bad as i have IBS-D.

Why? Can't you just leave it in neutral? The driveshaft would just spin at normal 55mph speeds spinning the mainshaft in the trans freely? Or is this an automatic transmission thing? This would be no different from a dolly?

It's an auto thing. Except on certain cars (saturns, most notably) the engine needs to be running for the transmission to be lubricated and cooled properly
auto tran's have their lubrication from the input shaft not output shaft.
Saturns were the go-to vehicle for tow behind and vehicles with a transfer case you can shift into Nigger.
Uhh... DPKiller. I think your southern side is showing.

On the west coast it's nothing but CR-V's and Rav-4's behind an RV. It's almost hard to find them that haven't been towed. I always just figured it was because they were light, AWD and cheap.

whats wrong with shifting into nigger

Are you sure you're not washing them enough?? Not offence intended but theres a reaccuring theme here.
I'd get a $500 shit box you dont like and keep it as a winter beater unless you totally winterproof your vehicle.
What I did for my truck was put POR-15 on all the lips and jams, and them 3M clear guard where the snow/dirt/sand will hit the body.
Wash them whenever I could. Usually it would get to cold to actually wash, just ice over. I thought about doing the POR-15 on the bottom, but not sure. I guess I'll just clean it more often. Heh
