Try not to mind that it's Red Eye, because it's John Coleman! Don't know who he is?
Being a TV weatherman doesn't make you an authority on climate science. Pretty much anybody can do it.
Of course it's a political issue, oil/coal companies know they'll basically get put out of business if a serious attempt to stop pollution is made, so they're going to pay as many people with "-ologist" in their title as possible to churn out research to the contrary. Just like the tobacco industry hired tons of people to use whatever means necessary to turn out studies showing cigarettes wern't addictive. So yeah, it's definitely the same old political struggle: Rich companies and their paid researchers and advocates verses the people who are ruthlessly exploited by them.
You don't read very much, do you? Go ahead. Take a seat, here's a book. Maybe you'll discover something about yourself. As for the Facepunch response on the whole, I appreciate the productive posts, but I still have to remember that this is a forum of 13-year-olds, and I was not much older than that when I joined.
You're a really conceited moron
Real science (the field of theoretical physics, for example)
Uh, the theoretical physicists have got string theory. In fact, theoretical physics nowadays essentially IS string theory. Global warming has empirical evidence supporting it. String theory is 100% mathematically based and not testable in the near future. Your argument is a reasonably valid one but maybe not the best of examples.
Global warming has been pretty much proven to be fact by now, hasn't it?

I just HAD IT ON HAND OKAY GOD
i'm not too sure why people are so quick to say "HA I TOLD YOU ITS NOT OUR FAULT!" i mean its not like the green initiative caused any problems. more energy efficient devices/other shit are good.
meh, the whole going green thing is pissing me off. what also pisses me off is that people think hybrids are actually good. They do waaaaay more environmenal damage than diesels. if you actually want to do "something good for the earth" buy a damn diesel you hypocrit!!! /endrant
