Post favourite covers of "Yesterday"
Could we continue this post, I was rudely interrupted by people giving gifts to each other :sigh:
I don't usually like covers. The only exception being the AtU soundtrack.
AtU soundtrack.
Yeah but that's related directly to Beatles. Try branching further, you may like more than you might expect :smug:
I have tried "branching further". Not my thing.
I have tried "branching further". Not my thing.
You haven't really "branched further" enough :v: The tree never ends see.
Trust me. I have.
Why did it end up being not your thing? :saddowns:
idk. I just prefer the original stuff much better. Most likely because it's how I originally heard it. I grew a taste for it and I'm not too accepting of anything different. Of course that doesn't mean I haven't TRIED to accept different covers of the songs. I just didn't enjoy them all that much.
I didn't really mean covers only :xd: I see definitely where you're coming from when it comes to that though.
From where?
A magical shop near my house called "That's Entertainment" Most of their stuff is second-hand, so it's really cheap I got 9 albums for £25

A majority of my music is covers since it's all from the 30's and 40's. Not too many people released original songs all the time, it was mostly just covers of things written by someone else.
I love reading about the songs on Wikipedia. Quite neat knowing the background of their songs.

I was at Ikea yesterday (all my troubles seemed so far away), and I got a frame for my poster that I got for christmas. I like it but I don't like that there weren't any frames the exact size as the poster (is 90 x 60 cm that unusual?) Media'd for size.
Img_thumb that please.
Yea I saw that after, it looked good before I put it on imageshack.
I'm starting to think Ram is the best Post-Beatles album. :psyduck: Save meee
I'm starting to think Ram is the best Post-Beatles album. :psyduck: Save meee
No Cloud Nine is...
No Cloud Nine is...
Brainwashed is better than Cloud Nine. :smug: [editline]30th January 2011[/editline] In all seriousness. All Things Must Pass is the greatest post-Beatle album... but I'm listening to Ram a lot lately. It is absolutely awesome, I don't know why it hasn't been seen like this before.
I'm thinking about getting all of George's solo albums on CD from amazon, soon, but I don't want to buy them now and then see a nice remaster boxset come out following the remastered Beatles catalogue, Lennon solo catalogue and the start of Paul's (I assume they're releasing each of his albums separately as they have done with Band on the Run because Paul's still making new stuff, which is a better idea than the bullshit way that new editions of all the Bond films are released every few years). Reckon I should go for it, or hold off for a bit?
Paul is guaranteed to start remastering his albums so hold off his catalogue for a bit. The last remaster of Ram was 1993... I might also hold off George albums on CD too, All Things Must Pass wasn't mastered too well. A bit too loud. Don't know about others. Wait for a re-release of that. Right at this time would be a great start to get Lennon's albums though.
Yeah they have Lennon box sets available now. Been looking for one for myself.
Looks SLICK.
That is one sexy box set.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Signature-Box-John-Lennon/dp/B003TVMIDO Price :smug:
I am not phased.
I don't understand why this happens when you first open it. What's with the yes?
"Yes is the answer and you know that for sure, Yes is the surrender you got to let it, you got to let it go" probably, though there are so many other words they could have used, the most obvious being 'Imagine'. Or they could have just left it blank.
