How about Honey Pie or a Savoy Truffle?
Not as good as your guy's, but Happiness is a Warm Gum?
Please don't kill me, but I've never really listened to the Beatles... But could anyone recommend a good first album to get me into them?

Same here, I never really saw where the fuzz is about.
Perhaps I'm too young.
:frog:
It doesn't really matter what album you first listen to.

Don't blame me for not being born in the era when they were popular among everyone.
Hmm.
For starters, I would listen to either Help! or Revolver. After that, work your way back to their earlier stuff with Please Please Me, Hard Day's Night, and With the Beatles. Then explore their later stuff like Sgt. Peppers, White Album, and Abbey Road.
Does that help a bit?
I always found Sgt. Pepper's to be a good starting point (because it was the first one I listened to)
Chronological listening is pretty cool once you do it.
Get The Beatles Rockband. That's what got me into The Beatles.

I just realized how disgusting that sounds.
I started off with Rubber Soul a long while back, I enjoyed it... but didn't get the "greatness" of it.
I appreciated it, but not anywhere near to as much now. I realise the heart of what they are now :v:
They are superb personalities, as a group and as their own.

Revolver.
It's the album that got me into the Beatles without any prior knowledge of them at all. Now you can see how that turned out in terms of liking them. :v:

Revolver
Rubber Soul
Beatles For Sale
Help!
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Abbey Road
Magical Mystery Tour
Please Please Me
A Hard Day's Night
Let It Be
The Beatles (White Album)
With The Beatles
Yellow Submarine
That's a good order to listen to them all in imo. That's not going from my favorite to my least favorite, not at all. That's going in an order that I think will give you the greatest variety.
Sgt. Pepper's
Abbey Road
Rubber Soul
Please Please Me
Revolver
Let It Be
Help!
The White Album
Magical Mystery Tour
A Hard Day's Night
That's the order I listened to them in. And I haven't listened to With The Beatles, Beatles for Sale or Yellow Submarine yet.
Alternatively you could listen to the Love album, as it's a nice summary of their career.

Beatles For Sale is better imo.
Beatles For Sale is better imo.
I enjoy both equally. :smug:
[editline]2nd February 2011[/editline]
very different albums but still.
It really doesn't matter to me what albums you listen to, or in any order.
I only remember "Come Together" as my earliest Beatles memory, mainly because that my music teacher in 6th grade gave a class on them.
I think I was the only one in the class that really was interested in it.

Well Beatles For Sale has some of my favorites of all of their songs on it.
My record store has a few original copies of Beatles for Sale, may pick one up then :v:
