Some mono versions sound better, some stereos do.
Eleanor Rigby is god awful in stereo. WHY MOVE VOCALS TO THE RIGHT WHEN THE CHORUS IS GOOD.

Agree. I don't see why they did this though , they could of moved half the audio to right, and the other to left.
I'm Only Sleeping does sound better in stereo although vocals are shifted slightly to the right.
brb abby road
Anyone here heard the bootleg of what the "GET BACK" album sounded like?
It was the version that disappointed them all and made them shelf it. It is quite an awful version of the album but still nice to have.
So I've finally decided to get all the beatles albums on CD as well.
My parents have them on record, but I would still love to have them on my computer and mp3 player as well. I don't want to have to go to the basement every time I want to listen to them.
I like stereo over mono, why is this such a problem?
I really couldn't care less that "Mono is how the Beatles wanted it.". it's not how I want it. Am I a terrible fan for not liking the versions of the songs that don't feel nearly as complex to me?
Why do we have to argue about this, you're acting like your opinion matters more than ours.
P.S. I love Elanor Rigby in stereo.
What's the difference between mono and stereo anyways

The vocals shift to the right for no reason. :colbert:

Do you have headphones?
Listening to LOVE, I love this remix album so much. I definetly need to buy the Fool on the Hill and Girl iTunes exclusive tracks when it comes out on iTunes

That would be the single worst thing in the world.

I just like the stereo version of Elanor Rigby more because you can hear the strings better imo.

I hear you and to be honest it is the vocal arrangement that screws up.

This for example, is AWESOME in stereo.
Yeah, honestly, I always hated when the vocals are really obviously on one side.
Some songs can pull it off so I don't really notice it, that's fine.
I could not imagine She, Said, She Said or Tomorrow Never Knows in Mono. They both got that little touch of stereo-ness that's part of what makes them great.
She, Said, She Said or Tomorrow Never Knows in Mono.
They're not bad in mono.
They're not bad in mono.
I know, I'm sure they're fine, there's not really much that needs to be in stereo, but that's why I like it.
It's not like, "WE HAVE STEREO LOOK HOW STEREO WE ARE WE SPLIT THE SONG IN HALF AND SHOVED EACH HALF INTO THE RIGHT AND LEFT SPEAKERS!!"
Funny how this ONLY is a problem with albums from the sixties..

It's a bit like the whole 3D thing at the cinemas at the moment. It's new technology so everyone wants to make the most of it and use it excessively.
It's not a gimmick, it's just done poorly sometimes.

The stereo not 3d
All I know is my right earbud broke on my main pair, and now I can't listen to many of their songs and it makes me upset. I'm too broke to buy a new pair too. Oh well....

I'm partially deaf in my left ear, it's like my left earbud is permanently broken :v:
Ok I lied.
Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey is an amazing song.
At least the second half.

They're 2 songs together.
The music video to it is hilarious :v:

Well then I like the second song (which I'm assuming is "Admiral Halsey") much more.
