What is that? Looks like high-tech alien equipment. Also, listening to revolution 9 right now.
I don't get it.
Did you read it?
Yes and it said it was a record with no marks that there is a song on it
and that it would still play.
Revolution 9 is expressionism and the effect of primal scream therapy he took with Yoko. The man saying "Number 9..." was just telling the Beatles that this was (supposed) to be take number 9 of Revolution. You can hear Revolution when the RIIIIIGH-RIIIGH- it's the "All right" part. It's a deep and complexing representation of feelings basically. Primal Scream is actually 99% doing rather than actually screaming. At one point in this therapy you pretend as if you are going to be born again, it's a really deep method of shit John tried.
its a really, really fucking weird song
the end
Also, maybe I'm the only one that's ever felt it, but I was listening to Plastic Ono Band the other night, and when John says on Working Class Hero: "Till yer so fuckin' crazy..." I just got this ominous chill down my spine. It was creepy. I don't know how to explain it, I just got really cold and my whole body shook for a second.
Revolution 9 is awesome.
The White Album... over.
Oh wait, forgot about Good Night.
I was very surprised with Good Night. It's a really great song.

Fuck yeah.
Concert for George, February 25th.
We gotta watch it.
You all remind me of this, or else, (knowing me) I'll forget Concert For George. Are they doing a new Concert for George or are they streaming the old?

I'm going to need a source on this one.

or you know, it's a bunch of songs and noises mixed into a sound collage that is "deep and wonderful and amazing"
you know, just like shitty art that's only a few lines scribbled on a blank canvas and sells for millions
I always thought that Revolution 9 was John's attempt, and success, of portraying a revolution through song, but no one has mentioned that yet.

That's what I've heard most. Even Lennon said it, no?
[editline]22nd February 2011[/editline]
Lennon described "Revolution 9" as "an unconscious picture of what I actually think will happen when it happens, just like a drawing of revolution." He said he was "painting in sound a picture of revolution", but he had mistakenly made it "anti-revolution"
The wiki-link for it. I actually don't think John got started in Primal Scream therapy with Yoko just yet. I think he did that in '69-'70. So my bad on the Primal Scream part, but it is an avant-garde attempt at expressionism.

The director would be pissed, even though I'm not even that big of a role.

Hey, you can't help it if you're sick :v:
I'll be the ignorant one, I still don't like Revolution 9 as a song.
hey I think I'm ready for another George Harrison album now, did he do another one that will blow my mind as much as or slightly less than All Things Must Pass?
help a brotha' out AK
Anyone else noticed that we're on page 117 and there's 117 agrees to the OP?

120 now. :smug:
Picked up Imagine and Brainwashed the other day, and they both sound pretty good so far
Although the shop I got them from had these weird versions of some Beatles albums, like the "Rock Band Mix" of Sgt. Pepper's (on LP no less) and "The Alternate [Album]", like The Alternate Help!
I took a look at the track listings, and it was things like demo tracks and live versions. Wouldn't live versions of Beatles songs from 1965 consist of girls screaming and some chords barely audible over them?
They're all filled with screaming but quite a few live recordings are quite audible.
The live recordings on Anthology are surprisingly clear, I find. Y'know, considering it's from the 60s and not recorded in a studio.
Don't know why you're surprised. They did use tapes in the 60s and the mastering on some live recordings are amazing.
Literally just put in Living in the Material World for the first time. <3 Give Me Peace on Earth
