Anyone here saw the movie "Across the Universe", the one with ~30 Beatles songs?
Boy that sucked, I thought they were the original songs but it turns out the actors are the singers and it's not the original recording by the Beatles themselves, it was just so bad, I hate covers, especially for Beatles' songs.

That movie was good, in my opinion at least
I think the Beatles were one of the best bands in the world. IMO

Come on, you can't say the 'Let it Be' in that film wasn't great. And some other songs they did well too. But I have to agree, with most of them, they came nowhere near as good as the originals.
I fucking love The Beatles, I live near Liverpool, so they are local lads to me, and their story really fascinates and inspires me.
Although I wouldn't say they are THE best rock band ever but definitely ONE of the best, but they were very, very important to the rock world, I'd be interesting to see how it would be without them.

Yeah, definitely, they were such a big influence on the world. I'd also like to see what would have happened if John hadn't been murdered, cause apparently they were just starting to get back together before he got killed.

I agree, I suppose they kinda needed a break from each other, as gigging, or recording nearly every day with the same people for years, with fans constantly following you and stuff like that.
I'm pretty sure they would of got back together, if not for an album, just a few gigs or something. That would of been pretty amazing.
It is really upsetting that John died as he did, as well as George. I believe they still had so much to do.

Comebacks of aging rockers are always successful.
"Something", "Ticket to Ride", "Norwegian Wood", "Hey Jude" and "Love Me Do" are my favorite Beatles songs ever

It's pretty much a mix-up of each beatle's solo work, making it seem like an actual album.

Wow, well that was...interesting haha, I wasn't expecting it to turn into some sci-fi mini novel.

But mrbloog, they still are and will always be, no matter how many of the members die.
Has anyone seen the threads made by a Sgt. Revolver?
Of course I have.
Hehe. People are taking him seriously.

Yes clearly they don't know music

I just can't help feeling sad listening to 'We Can Work It Out'
"Life is very short, and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend"
and then John went and died as they broke up. :C

Yeah, I saw that a while ago. I listened to a couple of songs, too weird for my taste.

Impressive drums Ringo
Hey guys I've been looking for glasses like John Lennon's, you know the round, dark sunglasses he always wears. Do you think they should be available at most sunglasses shops or whatever they're called?
I think if I wear ones I'd look a bit like John Lennon :).
Why would you want to do that, you sad bastard?
I love the Beatles almost as much as Mark David Chapman
Note: I just watched Chapter 27, after finishing Catcher in the Rye...

There's something about "while my guitar gently weeps"

I for one like both Coldplay and the Beatles. Beatles beat Coldplay by far though.
