Listening to Let It Be....Naked for the first time, all I have to say is....FUCK YES!!!!!! For you blue sounds amazingly better, I love this so much!!!!! I'm just....it just makes me wanna....:ccb:
Well I don't mind, I'll play whatever you want me to play. ... Whatever it is that will please you, I'll do it.
A lot of people I know that don't like the Beatles just didn't like their moptops and their voices.
Go make them listen to Abbey Road and Let It Be.
I hate those people who think they know The Beatles because they've heard "Twist and Shout" and "I Saw Her Standing There" and atomatically hate the band. I'm like,
"You've heard the beatles, but you've never listened to them..."
I prefer their earlier stuff. Feels more honest.
I prefer their earlier stuff. Feels more honest.
I like all their stuff equally, i'm just saying that the earlier songs are the one's more heard around.
And of course "Yellow Submarine" Wich was sung on buses in 3'rd grade to annoy people. Now i love that song :|

Plus seriously, liking "twist and shout" is an acquired taste for older songs. It 'aint exactly a modern times song.
Who in here thinks that Yer Blues is an amasing song and The Beatles should've done more Blues songs?
[editline]06:32PM[/editline]
I mean it wasn't an awesome blues song, but it was a good start and they could've made alot better blues songs.

It's less dated than "Smoke weed and pull some random shit together good God we're pioneers".
Whoop, All You Need Is Love is now out for The Beatles Rock Band on PS3.
The best song to chill to when your high is Strawberry Fields Forever
Anyone heard their mashup album, Love? It's pretty good.

Just listened to the whole thing. Ever see the show? I want to
I really like the Tomorrow Never Knows/Within You Without You mix.
Once a thing's been done, it's been done, so why all this nostalgia? I mean, for the '60s and '70s, you know, looking backwards for inspiration, copying the past. How's that rock and roll? Do something of your own. Start something new, you know? Live your lives now, know what I mean?
Pretty much all music has been inspired by stuff before it.
Also are you high? You sound high.
Love is a good album but Abbey Road will still remain their best.
It was made so well and the techniques they used to record their music were some they had not used before. The music is so influential on that album that even people who haven't even listened to the Beatles are influenced by it/them because of their influence on music in general.
It was also their last album recorded, which makes it awesome. :smug:
Although it is still a matter of opinion as to whether you like the 1963-1966 Beatles, or the 1967-1970 Beatles. I prefer both, since they kick so much ass it's impossible to choose.

It's a Lennon quote, saw it used in a car advert the other day.

oh
The Beatles are really AWESOME
You're about the eight thousandth person to say something like that in this thread.
Reassuring but unnecessary. But I guess this thread has no other way to survive now.
Watched Let It Be last night. The rooftop concert has to be one of the most badass real-life events recorded on film.
The part right at the end, after Dig A Pony, where the police are on the rooftop. The way The Beatles all look at eachother, judging what to do, it's like a standoff between them and the police, before they start Get Back.
Also, when the police turn off the amps, then George runs up and turns them back on is awesome.
Love the part in Let It Be when Paul's daughter hits Ringo's snare and he's all like
HGOERIGHEOIHOIWHAREG
Haha, yeah. Also the part where George is helping Ringo with Octopus's Garden.

anti-retro!
If I had a penny for every time Paul said 'you know', I'd be as rich as he is.
[editline]12:04PM[/editline]
Jesus Christ, Paul needs help with his 'you knows'. Starting to piss me off.
'And you don't know, you know'

I have a lecturer at university who does that. It's infuriating. 'you know' and 'sort of' are dropped into every sentence.
Almost as bad as people saying 'like' nowadays, you know?
