Beatles movies of making their music watched let it be and the way their relationships had broken down was really depressing to watch although the music was superb
Anyone play guitar and learned any of their songs? I've done a couple
I've learned almost all of their songs mate. In fact, I hardly know anything besides beatles on guitar.
The Rickenbacker 325 is my dream guitar The 3/4 scale length is the main reason why. As I started playing the ukulele before I played guitar, I find it hard to place my fingers more than maybe, three frets apart, at the nut side of the neck. That, and the toaster pickups sound awesome. Atleast £2500 for a brand new reissue. By the time I've got that much together, they'll have discontinued them.
...or is John Lennon really cute?
You mean he was cute.
I'm here. [editline]10:48PM[/editline] Recommend Beatles albums to me or something.
If you want to get into them listen to the white album and revolver.
I love the Beatles so much, I've learned the basic tune of around 150 of their songs, and I know 5 of them well on the piano. Also, is it just me, or is John Lennon really cute? And best songs ever:
hehe it's my old account!

Recently bought Paul McCartney's Good Evening New York City, which includes two CDs and one DVD. Great investment I'd have to say. The pearl of the package is definitely the two and a half hour long DVD of the entire concert, but having all the great songs available on my iPod is really handy as well. So sad when he sings Here Today in remembrance to John :frown:
Hey, just noticed I've accidentally started a Beatles-related sort of miniature avatar thing going, with faces from that photo. That's pretty cool.

It's just incredible how ahead of the times their music is, I really only started listening to them about 3 or 4 years ago, I was around 16 and didn't know to much about older bands, but they instantly became on of my favorite classic rock bands. I think the best thing about them is they tried new things and were experimental, every song was a surprise.
Anybody here listen to The Zombies? I think their work is right up there with The Beatles.
Anybody here listen to The Zombies? I think their work is right up there with The Beatles.
Odessey and Oracle yes......... not a lot else
come together........right now.
Anyone heard Anthology 1 2 and 3? They're awesome, alternate versions of all their songs.
Early Eight Days A Week on the anthology sounds great.
Check this shit out http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i417b9e1bf4bfc8ec055a530ee89abb6c?pn=1 Director Martin Scorsese is making a movie about George Harrison's life. Shit's gonna be awesome!
Read about it a while ago on IMDB, but there wasn't much information at the time. Should be a great documentary - a biopic would also have been cool, but I think they'd have to do the Beatles, rather than just George for that to work. While I'm on the subject - has anybody seen Nowhere Boy, and if so, what did they think to it?
Just listening to Anthology 1 - the original version of One After 909 is fucking great. I've always liked the version on Let It Be, but I think I actually prefer this one now
