CAUSE YOU KNOW DARLIN' I LOVE ONLY YOU
YOU NEVER KNOW IT HURT ME SO
HOW I HATE TO SEE YOU GO
DON'T PASS ME BYYYYY
DON'T MAKE ME CRYYYY

That's one of my favorite songs by any of them.
I was hoping Ringo would perform it at the concert but he didn't.
But he did 4 other Beatles songs so I didn't mind much. :v:
I used to hate Don't Pass Me By, but I've grown to love it.
I forgot what I thought of it, I hate those lyrics though but I guess the music must make up for it.
I don't know why, but I love every bit about it; the music (especially!), the lyrics, the overall composition.
And I love how people use it as evidence for the "Paul is dead" conspiracy. Makes me giggle.
EDIT: 1000th post!
I'm liking today's Google Doodle.
But Lennon's birthday is tomorrow no?
I was thinking the same - and people I know on Facebook have been posting 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN LENNON' because they've seen the Google Doodle.
Oh well, it isn't as if it's doing any harm.
It's his birthday in Australia and several other time zone's, that might be why.
And yeah, I listened to Don't Pass Me By, great song.
Lennon's Birthday is Tomorrow!!!
Here's a song I found commemorating it

I don't think Imagine is Lennon's greatest song.
It's John Lennons birthday in Europe.
How many times have i heard Imagine so far...

You telling lies thinking I can't see
You can't cry 'cos you're laughing at me
I'm down.
I think my favourite Lennon solo song is Watching The Wheels. I've been listening to Borrowed Time a lot today, having not really noticed it before. Great song.
Also, just realised that one of the cool things about Harrison's God-focused songs is that they pretty much work as multi-faith gospel.

Congratulations, John.
Thanks for the wonderful music
Going down to the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix to celebrate John's Birthday
This is what John would look like if he were alive today.

My favourite Beatles song, by far, is Maxwell's Silver Hammer.
I think Working Class Hero has the best lyrics of any Lennon song. My favourite is Give Peace a Chance though, so simple yet very motivating.
Just listened to A Toot and a Snore in '74.
I can safely say that Revolution #9 is more easily comprehensible.
It's interesting to listen to them, the snippets of conversation, but they only get through one or two songs.
Dude, they were all high..
For 3 tracks it was Lennon complaining.
The only musical good parts were parts in Lucille which was both Paul and John going crazy and Cupid which was only Stevie Wonder(with Lennon in the background) :3:
Lennon's cocaine-fuelled rage at the microphones and headphones was funny at times - I laughed at "Will everyone that doesn't know Stand By Me put their hand up?".
They were totally wrecked.
I really connected with "I'm Only Sleeping" today.
It definitely is my favourite Lennon song, now.
So went to the Musical Instrument Museum, found the piano John Lennon Composed Imagine on.
