I really connected with "I'm Only Sleeping" today.
It definitely is my favourite Lennon song, now.
Oh fuck me how did I forget about this one. Yeah, I'm Only Sleeping is my favourite Lennon song

I get it, it's an air guitar
Suddenly John avatar what with it being his 70th birthday weekend.
Fuck Columbus make today John Lennon day.
The fist weekday after a Beatle's birthday is now a national holiday, if that day is already a holiday then that holiday get removed.

What channel was it on?
Only just found out the remastered Lennon albums are on Spotify. This is a good day.
I guarantee the originals will be superior to most of the remasters.
:smug:
Plastic Ono Band, Mind Games and maybe one other are the exceptions.
What channel was it on?
It was on this channel that plays a ton of concerts and stuff, I think it's called "Palladia" or something.
Cloud Nine by George Harrison has one of the worst album covers in music history. The actual album itself is pretty good I've heard but man that is one bad album cover.
that is one bad album cover.
is awesome :smug:
is awesome :smug:
That album cover would be terrible if it wasn't for the fact that that man is George Harrison.
I've always thought it's so naff looking that it's awesome.
Also as BrokenHobo said, George is on it.
[editline]13th October 2010[/editline]
Every time I see it though, I notice that the guitar strap is only over his right shoulder, rather than over his neck. It bothers me so much, but George can get away with it.
We're singing Beatles in Revue in my choir.
It has gotten me into the Beatles, although I still don't like their music for the most part.
Michelle
Yesterday
Let It Be
Elenore Rigby
All You Need Is Love
Hey Jude
Can't Buy Me Love
Hard Days Night
Those are the only songs of theirs I like.
I like this songs more than the others, but I do like the entire collection of songs.
Just got myself a copy of Concert for Bangladesh.
Once I've finished, I'll give you the verdict on whether it is one of the greatest concerts of all time.

It Don't Come Easy....
Ringo is just so great.
not a big fan of the beatle they have some good songs, but overall I think they are overated and always have been. The Lady Gaga of their time.

Not so much "lady gaga"
Perhaps, Radiohead or Arcade Fire of their time. :smug:

I'm sorry, but the opinion to what is good or not has completely changed nowadays.
This isn't an excuse, because I can't see the quantity of greatness in the 2000s. Too many lost geniuses, too many people propped up and giving people the illusion that they are better than what they are.
Its pretty much a mess of culture :smug:
not a big fan of the beatle they have some good songs, but overall I think they are overated and always have been. The Lady Gaga of their time.
Don't think so, they've inspired generation of generations of musicians.
Although he does have a point.
Yoko Ono was Lady Gaga of their time. :v:
It Won't Be Long is going to get soooooooooo many plays on my iTunes for the next 3 days. :v:
I still don't see when the Jonas Brothers are going to start pushing boundries and when their equivalent of this will come out.

Please don't tell me you are saying that song is bad.
I'm not. I just want to see the when the Jonas Brothers will start with the experimentation and studio tricks like the Beatles did.
Y'know because they're so similar.
Oh god that hurt to read.
They aren't really that similar, they're just a band made up of boys that got really popular really fast.
The similarities end there.
I was being sarcastic you dummy.
Teen Pop isn't really Psychadelic Rock or Rock & Roll :3:

I'm so confused! :gonk:
One of my favourite bands, and I wasn't even around when they were still making music.
