Only recently listened to it and it definitely is one of his best works.
Had to post here because I just had the greatest dream ever.
Was hanging out with some of my friends, around town, ran into John Lennon, talked and played soccer with him, wound up at some kind of all night Beatles extravaganza (minus George, I don't know why he wasn't alive but Lennon was..?), ended up on stage with them and was introduced as their biggest fan.
I never wanted to wake up from that dream ever.
Also Hobo was there.
I dreamt of The Beatles once too :3:
Although I distinctly remember them dressing similarly to their Sgt Pepper days. It was quite a psychadelic surrounding too.
It didn't last very long but at least I remembered it.
In mine, it was 70's John, 60s Paul and Ringo.
Made no sense but it was awesome.

Also I'm totally thinking about getting a young Lennon/McCartney tattoo.
Sometime in the future.
Am I dumb for considering this.

Who else reckons "Hide Your Love Away" could be about homosexuality?

A lot of people think it is, since Brian Epstein was gay.

It's the same reason that people think that they say, "Baby you're a rich fag jew." in Baby You're a Rich Man.

Wat
Okay Abbey Road is definitely my favourite Beatles album, with Sgt. Pepper's a close second.
It was rumored that The Beatles sang "Baby you're a rich fag Jew" as a slur to their manager, Brian Epstein. He was rich, gay and Jewish, but The Beatles never said this was about him. Epstein died later in that year when he overdosed on sleeping pills.
I'd have to say that the White Album is my favorite with With the Beatles and Beatles for Sale in comp. with each other for second.
I dunno. There's just too many songs I like.

No, not definitely! You will definitely change your mind maybe 3 or 4 times once you start liking things like Help and Revolver and other stuff a lot more.

Oh I also read in their only official biography that Lennon had a one night stand with Epstein.
Hot.
On another topic, does anyone watch the Beatles cartoons?
Being the easily amused person I am, I can't get enough of this horrible animation, odd voice actors, and nonsensical plots.
It's great.
A few weeks ago, while looking for some spare storage space in a spare room, I found The White Album, Revolver, and Sgt. Peppers on vinyl, as well as a few of their very early releases such as the 45 rpm singles (Love Me Do, Please Please Me, etc.) Turns out my Dad collected them when he was a kid. Made my day/week.
Man, you guys are lucky.
My dad was poor when he was a kid, so he couldn't afford anything but basics like food and clothes. So no super special awesome stuff from his childhood.
