woo :toot: [editline]19th January 2011[/editline] This Beatles book has a section full of weird merchandise, like coathangers and cake decorations. I'll scan it in at some point in the next few days and upload it
Been spending most of the day listening to George Harrison's solo work and stumbled upon the song "What is Life". Surprised I never heard it before but now I'd say it's one of my favorite songs just behind "I'm a Loser".
I've got like a 2x2 metre poster of Abbey road crossing. It's a shrine for my room.
Wow I thought I had quite a bit of Beatles stuff. Then I realized it's mostly clothes. :saddowns:
My store has this huge collection which you can dig through for just £2. They haven't been sorted through so finding something really good is always special :v: Bet you guys have never come across this album in a record store :3: Copy of Mccartney's 1970 debut album :v: It's in really nice shape, bit of ring wear on the back of the sleeve. But actually a very good copy.
oh my all that paul
For 20 bucks you could get a high quality print, dude. That just looks like your typical shoddy poster.
It's the only one I could find in my city :frown:
oh my all that paul
If you were freaked out by that. Then I'm not sure what your reaction would be to his "Mccartney II" gatefold. Was too expensive for me to buy though.
They had that at Half Price books, actually. Was too expensive for me to buy though.
Yeah I was kinda exaggerating. It reached number 2 in the UK and 1 in USA. So it's hardly gonna be rare is it? :v: I probably meant to say it was rare to find it in the "cheap" section. Just gave it a listen and really enjoyed it, very instrumental but it is a true solo effort... he played ALL the instruments on the album. Glad I found it. You really saw a copy though. How much was it?
About $14, iirc. Not TOO expensive, but at the time, I was pretty much broke.
I guess I should start looking for record shops. Anyway finally watching movies I've been meaning to watch for ages and Across the Universe was one of them. woW
About $14, iirc. Not TOO expensive, but at the time, I was pretty much broke.
Yeah, I know the feeling. For £2 which would be $5, which quite frankly is a steal!!! :v:
Well my other vinyls, I got for pretty cheap. I got Pauls' "Tug Of War" for like 4 bucks and both of my Harrison ones were $5-$7. My Ringo one was about $8.
I saw Ringo's Beaucoups of Blues album on sale for £20, which would be $30! But I guess it is pretty rare so it's about right, great album though.
Vinyls I own: [img_thumb]http://www.beatlesbible.com/images/releases/help_us.jpg[/img_thumb] Vinyls I might soon own: That all depends on the funds I have available thoughhh.
Or if I buy them lol.
That too. :v:

I also like that it's the original harmonica play in the beginning compared to the remastered cd. 300th post... Heard in the 60's: - What are we listening to, classical music? -Classical music? THIS IS THE BEATLES! *image of George kicking Beethoven*
That too. :v:
And I get nothing in return lol.
And I get nothing in return lol.
Have a free song recommendation :v: [sp]It's The Beatles[/sp]
I think "Can't Buy Me Love" is more fitting lol.
I think "Can't Buy Me Love" is more fitting lol.
or even MORE fitting :frogbon:
That works too.
I think Revolution 9 is a masterpiece. No lie, it was a true endearing experience. It is nothing compared to something like noise, at least it progresses in sections. It is meant to be listened to with big over-ear stereo headphones. Listening to it on speakers is pointless.
now you're just trying to seem edgey
now you're just trying to seem edgey
I heard people fuss how it isn't a Beatles song. But it isn't anywhere near the genre that they are accustomed to. Do a bit of research into that type of music and see what it's about before jumping to conclusions of trying to hate it.
And I get nothing in return lol.
you get my love. :allears:
Really? Then why are you being shared among members of the mod team? :saddowns:
Someone should totally buy me Ringo's entire Discography on Vinyl and CD. I can't find any of his albums anywhere, even on CD. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline] I can find some online but shipping costs money. [editline]19th January 2011[/editline]
I heard people fuss how it isn't a Beatles song.
