• What the World War Z movie should have.

It must be in Avatar style 3d. There have been no zombie movies in 3d. Imagine the Battle of Yonkers in 3d! The movie needs to show the Redecker Plan, not just talk about it. In a movie it wouldn't have the impact if it was just talked about like in the book. There needs to be a sequence of feral children and of quislings. Those were two things I liked in the book that weren't really covered very much.
I still can't get over the fact that the author of that book is the son of Mel Brooks. That's so rad.

Because Resident Evil Degeneration was in CG and it was a zombie film.
An abscence of Micheal Bay.
I think he could do Yonkers, at most
World War Z is probably the only book I've ever read that has made me gag at the description of one of the events. Specifically the one with the boy tearing his arms out of his sockets. The film should do this.
You mean CG or stereo 3D with goggles? Because Resident Evil Degeneration was in CG and it was a zombie film.
Avatar's 3d has nothing to do with CGI.
Anyone who's read World War Z can say that it's a great book. What makes it great isn't the zombies, but the stories told and the personal feelings behind them. The book depicts many nationalities and cultures facing the undead, not just us Americans. It's also common knowledge that a movie is being made, and the person behind the script was recently booted off because the script he wrote wasn't close enough to the book, and now a new guy is working on it. So here's my list of what the movie should have so it doesn't suck as much as the Day of the Dead remake. No fast zombies. You might have heard this from me on the last 2 threads I made, but I'll re-iterate it here: fast zombies, or brain-damaged vampires, were not in World War Z, and if they include it in the movie I will actually cry. Yes, cry. And anyway the ghouls in WWZ were always described as 'slouching', and I always pictured that as not fast, but not staggeringly slow either (like Shaun of the Dead), more sort of like an exaggerated limp. Make it seem global. A lot of zombie movies and video games are set in the United States. That's all fine and dandy, but World War Z was a world war. A multinational cast will be needed to even begin to make it seem worldwide: South Africans, Chinese, Americans, Brits, Germans, Frenchmen, Russians, Japanese, and a whole bunch of others are represented in the book. Different themes. This is a big one. Remember the interview that talks about that guy who had a celebrity-infested fortress on Long Island? Have that segment as a reality show. Have the CIA parts as like the Bourne movies. Have the Chinese admiral part as some kinda techno-thriller, the Great Panic parts as one of those apocalypse movies, where the audience will truly believe it's the end of the world. Have the Battle of Yonkers be on the scale of Saving Private Ryan or some other epic war movie. More scary zombies. The zombies in Shaun of the Dead looked more like pale people than anything else. Sure, that's what zombies originally look like, but have them look more scary like this. Rotting, half-eaten monsters, not...people dressed in cheap makeup. No Tom Cruise. Except maybe as one of the first people who gets surrounded and mauled by a horde of undead. Anyone else have any suggestions?
Protip: Shaun of the Dead is a comedy.

In the first volume of the Dark Tower series he graphically depicts a boy getting run over by a car. That's gag-worthy.
Yes, he tastes his own shit. Made me close the book for a while while imagining the scene in my head.
I bet that film will need a cast and a half. If it goes right it will be fucking epic. Imagine the budget they will need.
Needs more Megan Fox.
Needs more titties. Not necessarily Megan Fox.
Yes, he tastes his own shit. Made me close the book for a while while imagining the scene in my head.
Haha, I reacted like that too :v: And how he portrays the genitalia being crushed. Really is gut-wrenching stuff.
Protip: Shaun of the Dead is a comedy.
And a damn fine zombie movie too.
Depending on when the movies actually set, zombies of different mutation and "falling-apart-in-an-unnecessarily-gruesome-kinda-scary" way.
The zombie survival guide said katanas can be used.
The zombie survival guide said katanas can be used.
They are built to cut through flesh and bone. Probably a decent enough weapon if you know how to use it, but its big, has no other purposes other than killing, and does nothing tool can't do as well. As in, destroy the brain.
a WWZ movie would be fucking awesome if it included Arabs fending off zombies [editline]04:53PM[/editline] with scimitars and shit [editline]04:53PM[/editline] and maybe a little bit of car drifting
It was in the book, somewhere in the middle east, where a bunch of guys got trapped and ran out of ammo, so used their swords or some shit.
They are meant to cut down bushes and large leaves in jungles and outbacks :geno:
Er... Don't you mean Machetes?
It was in the book, somewhere in the middle east, where a bunch of guys got trapped and ran out of ammo, so used their swords or some shit.
India. General Raj-Singh had his soldiers go square formation, and they only retreated when they ran out of ammo and someone personally punched Raj-Singh in the face.
India. I forgot some of the stuff that happened though because i read the book when i took a vacation to Washington D.C
The film would have to be very, very long to get all the storylines in. They should release it as more than one film and put only a few of the storylines in each. Also zombies.
Well, I don't know if this is in the book or not (will read it soon!) but I'd like to see the Pyramids of Giza. A squad of the Egyptian army fights through the streets of Cairo to make a glorious last stand on the pinnacle of the Pyramids, holding off the millions of zombies swarming from the city.

Maybe they could do a miniseries then. Each episode, again, has a different theme: reality TV show, political intriuge, military action, personal stories, etc. etc.
Reality tv has been done.
And a zombie apocalypse hasn't? On another note: Braaaaiiiinnnns
Reality tv has been done.
http://www.e4.com/deadset/ oh yes, it has, oh yes indeed. i loved Dead Set.
