That's probably why we have so many Jap imports in the UK. You roll it off the boat, drive it round to get it registered and they basically just check to see if it's got some brakes. Content: R32 Skyrine I drove past. Owned by a tuning company so I'd guess it's either a GTR or GTS-T.
A lot of people here are importing them from the UK, no customs and no taxes. But it's usually easier to find cars with low mileage and in a better condition in Japan.
I've yet to see any Lambo outside of a dealership besides the Gallardo. Makes me feel bad, as I don't like Gallardos at all compared to their other models.
I took a picture of this one when I was walking down the street while visiting New York. First time I had ever seen a Lambo in real life. I'm pretty sure its a Gallardo (I'm not good at Lambo), but hey, I'm not complaining. Also saw this Ferrari the same day (shitty picture though).
Drove past this about 8 miles from the wilton car show
I saw a Lamborghini here in town some weeks ago. With these bumpy roads I'm not surprised the owner got a crane to move it around with too since it clearly can't really drive anywhere
Best I ever saw was this Gallardo doing a roundabout here at the beach. It was one of the older models, but still good.
I see. I know someone who owns a BNR32 in Quebec and he just said that it's illegal to drive RHD cars there if they were imported after a certain date, didn't know how it works for the US. It's pretty easy to make imported RHD cars legal here, it just costs a lot of money. About $2k average for a RHD import, a lot less obviously if there is a LHD version of the car.
He might think that because new skylines are illegal in Canada. People are commonly misinformed about these type of things. I'm pretty sure R34s are completely banned here, regardless of modifications. That might of led to your friend believing that new RHDs are illegal, however it's Skylines (and possibly other cars too) due to their popularity for street racing, etc.
Wow, really? Banned just for street racing? That must have made a lot of people mad... What about European exotics and other high performance vehicles? I can't imagine my country without skylines, they're like the staple japanese sports car.

I would love an R34 but they are illegal. It also makes owning an R32 annoying because they are pulled over frequently as idiot cops mistake them for R34s. It also means there's a high demand for R32 skylines so their price is very high too. I'm not sure about European exotics or anything, I rarely see european cars though, I think I saw an Opel the other day but they aren't common here. My friend owns a Celsior however, and there's some import Celicas floating around. Edit: Some maserati models are inadmissible. http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/SafeVehicles/Importation/Usa/VAFUS/list2/MASERATI.htm All daihatsu passenger vehicles are inadmissible http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/SafeVehicles/Importation/Usa/VAFUS/list2/DAIHATSU.htm 1996 Viper Roadster inadmissible http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/SafeVehicles/Importation/Usa/VAFUS/list2/CHRYSLER_BR_PLYMOUTH___DODGE___EAGLE___JEEP.htm All fiat passenger cars are inadmissible http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/SafeVehicles/Importation/Usa/VAFUS/list2/FIAT.htm That's just a list. And take note, those are AMERICAN cars that are outlawed. One brand mentioned for the list "No U.S models were made" Good luck finding out what cars are outlawed, you'd have to choose specific cars and find the info on them. Edit #2: All import cars from countries other than the United States must meet Canadian safety regulations or else they are completely banned. You are not allowed to alter a car to make it safe, or such. The only exception is cars over 15 years old, or buses made earlier than January 1971. I guess I was wrong. New imports are completely banned. Fuck. (Well, all the ones that don't comply with Canadian safety standards). Welcome to canada No cool cars allowed.
Man some of these import laws are pretty ridiculous. I think we've got a law coming in soon banning pretty much any pre 2005 vehicles. Sucks because I was considering importing a 180sx a while back since they sell for crazy prices here.
Welcome to canada No cool cars allowed.
More like. "Welcome to Canada. It'll take forever to get a gun, you can't have a nice car, the wait to see a doctor who can tell you what's wrong in 5 minutes will be approximately 1-4 hours, and our Prime Minister always fails to uphold his election platforms"
"Welcome to America, it takes 5 minutes to get a gun and you can do whatever you want as long as you have enough money YEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW" I do love my country though :v:
My dad recently had a heart attack, during which i drove him to the emergency room. After waiting for an hour with him writhing in pain, we were finally accepted to be checked up on. They ran some tests and put us back in the waiting room. We then waited another 20 hours before finally being called back in for the results. All 24 hours of which he was never treated (until after, when they got the results, of course). So maybe it was where i took him, maybe it's our city, or our state, but in my experiences (not just this one) Out health care is absolute fucking shit aswell. Obama did nothing but screw it up more, at least it seems like it, it has always been bad but never THIS bad. [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] But yeah, i had always thought it would be cool to live in canada sometime, but with all that shit going on, fuck em. Probably wouldn't even let my RX-7 pass the borders...Assholes [editline]21st September 2011[/editline] What's the fucking point to all the regulations anyways? To stop street racers? Yeah, cause everyone that ever owned a halfass sporty car is automatically a street racer...stupid.
Not to sound like a broken record dumb redneck but that's because Obama is making our healthcare more socialistic (obviously) but then again people will always say the same shit so I think it really just depends on the situation more or less. Maybe that crew that day was just stupid and didn't care, maybe there was a fault in the computers etc. the list could go on.
I'd really rather not take a picture of my car's yousaw, especially not at random. He's pretty sensitive about it.

In here, its either expensive luxury / supercars or cheap budget cars. There is no "Mid-ranged". I was going to the mall to get some books when a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 SV appeared.
On vacation in LA. Went to Downtown. Oh boy. I had 100s of pics of Bentley Continental GT's and 911's. I deleted them they were so common.
well, sadly I dont have a picture of the exact car, but I've seen one of these drive past me and a few others I've seen driving around where I live and no I dont have any pictures of the actual car, I never have a camera with me, but should be the same colour I've seen a bunch of vipers, but I'm in windsor, so we have a Chrysler plant here, so they dont count and we used to have one of these
I was excited then i noticed, that's not an actual super sport, just painted like one. I'll still give them points just because it's a cool color scheme regardless.

I'll say it again, how do you Europeans manage with old American cars with your insane gas prices?
A 1986 Maserati Bi-Turbo. it originally caught my attention because I though it was an 86 Lancia Beta Coupe' , but then when I got close in...Yeah it wasn't. The only reason I was so fascinated by a common car (to you Europeans) is because well, not only do I live in America, I live in Pennsylvania. So it would have been more rare than an old Maserati. Next to it is an old 1970's Mercedes. Here I also found a 1985 AMC Eagle 4x4. The tan one was at an old AMC/JEEP dealer that is now a garage and used car lot. they have a gold mine of old AMC Cars, and Jags and some older cars from the 50's collecting dust. I found a 44,000 mile MINT condition AMC Eagle inside the garage, I asked the owner about buying it he said "im going to be selling it", i've been persistent, but he wont return my calls, and everytime I go to the dealer he never has an answer for me. It needs new tires/tuned/battery etc. from sitting, but it's a perfect car. Oh well, it's collecting dust now, sadly. And this...plum colored eagle was in a parking lot up at my sisters college...Pretty beat up, but still a champ.
I'll say it again, how do you Europeans manage with old American cars with your insane gas prices?
Probably only driving them on weekends or they just have a lot of money, I guess.
I'll say it again, how do you Europeans manage with old American cars with your insane gas prices?
Around here the price for a gallon in dollars would be a little bit over 8dollars. My friend who owns a American car normally drives with it, when he has freetime (on weekends). Also it's good to know, that our sweet eastern neighbors pay 50% less for their gas (Russia)
