the best christian bands are the bands that keep that keep their christianity and music far apart. Though that's not really a christian band, then.
the term "christian band" has been twisted far beyond what it should mean because of bands like this one.
I don't actually find the music that bad, I quite like it.
Yeah, I first started with a "iffy" opinion on them, but started to like them after getting used to them.
What can I say, I like metalcore. rate me dumb if you want, but I like metalcore.
What can I say, I like metalcore. rate me dumb if you want, but I like metalcore.
I like metalcore, but not TDWP.
yeah, they might not be the most talented, unique or best critically rated band, but I still like them a lot. it's just enjoyable to listen to if you forget everything that you hear about them from people judging them.
What can I say, I like metalcore. rate me dumb if you want, but I like metalcore.
Metalcore died a long time ago.
That's gay as fuck. Corpsegrinder is epic, he loves songs about shooting blood from your dick :v:
Corpsegrinder is a man who knows how to keep a crowd entertained
TDWP is an awful band.
Corpsegrinder is a man who knows how to keep a crowd entertained
See this is what I mean. The man is a natural born entertainer :v: And i saw em in halloween with dying fetus. :v:
Cool, another fan. What's your favorite song/album? I really enjoy Gimme Half.
Favorite album is probably Plagues. I love With Roots Above and Branches Below, but my favorite songs are "Reptar, King of the Ozone", "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?", "Goats on a Boat", and "Sassafras." 3 of those 4 are on Plagues so that's why it's my favorite. I don't think mentioning their faith is disrespectful at all. The show that I went to that they mentioned it (I've seen them a few times, they've only mentioned it once) was a part of what a lot of people were calling the "Straight Edge" tour. That wasn't it's official name, but it was with Haste the Day, Story of the Year, and All That Remains, all of which mentioned a little bit about faith during the show. The other bands were like "YEAH JESUS CHRIST" but like I said before, TDWP was more modest and respectful about it.
Metalcore died a long time ago.
and?
Metalcore died a long time ago.
Says who? You?
Says who? You?
This is metalcore, or metallic hardcore, in its purest form. Bands like Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine and all that other shit shouldn't be called metalcore.
Integrity owns Especially the vocals They're fucking brutal [/haiku]
Bands like Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine and all that other shit shouldn't be called metalcore.
nobody calls Trivium and BFMV metalcore, because they're not, but I get your point. If Integrity is metalcore, what are bands like The Devil Wears Prada?
All That Remains is an Atheist band.
Well then my memory fails me. I know for sure that Haste the Day and Story of the Year said something though, All That Remains might have just been going along for the ride.

Elvis was rock, now look at rock nowadays. Rap in the 80's was very upbeat, now it's a slow, ghetto-themed genre. Metalcore is a combination of punk rock and extreme metal. Metalcore is NOT a "Integrity-sound alike genre".
mallcore I believe is the genre
Mallcore is a derogatory term used for metalcore bands. Don't just use it like it's a real genre or something...
well look at the question that was asked. If integrety is real metalcore, than what is shitty half assed metalcore? It's "Melodic metalcore," mallcore. It's meant to appease the hot-topic kids. It's not too scary as to frighten the weak minds of this children, but exploits elements of good music as much as it can, thus making it "Melodic".
if anything they would have been making fun of the other bands. All That Remains is one of the very very few "metalcore" bands left that isn't complete shit.
Actually, out of all the bands there, ATR was the worst with their live performance. The drummer mashes the double bass pedal during every song, so that's practically all you hear the whole time. It's cool at first but it gets extremely repetitive. The singer isn't too bad, but he was filling in for Howard Jones when I saw KSE last month and he had to let the crowd do most of the singing, because he wasn't doing the best job at it. I enjoy TDWP songs because they don't follow the traditional format of songs. They tend to not have a chorus, don't have the same riff repeating, and the breakdowns aren't always in the last quarter of the song. ATR is extremely generic in sound, it's pretty much guitar riff, singing, guitar riff, singing, breakdown, solo, riff. Hearing one All That Remains song means you've heard them all. Bash TDWP all you want, but the crowd went more crazy for them than they did for ATR. Hell, the crowd went just as crazy for them last month as they did for KillSwitch Engage, which is a really goddamn popular band.

Just because someone doesn't like every aspect of it, it isn't an excuse to add another bastard child of a label into the world. Face it, not all metalcore is good.

The Devil Wears Prada is a stereotypical sociofag ban trying to be brutal while announcing their religion to get more attention. They also have shitty lyrics about drama and some of the most scene song names I've ever seen in my life. The vocalist is awful too. All that Remains songs actually have meaning, and don't sound like they were made for guys with an excess of estrogen in their system. All that Remains will always be better than The Devil Wears Prada.
Facepunch is the worst place to talk about religion, it's full of atheists who can't tolerate shit for anyone elses beliefs. But anyways i really like The Devil Wear Prada. Their best song is Number Three, Never Forget.
integrity for the fucking win

It just pisses me off when people try to enforce their religion or lack thereof upon others.

All That Remains are the guys that try way too hard, every time I've seen them, their singer is on the stage between songs like an idiot "YEAH CIRCLE PIT YEAH WALL OF DEATH FUCK YEAH SO HARDCORE". I'm not a religious person, it's pretty dumb that you're going off about their religion when they don't force it on anyone and stuff. Some of their songs mention religion, but a lot of them are about other things like global warming and shit. I think the meaning behind their songs is pretty intelligent, much moreso than ATR singing about how "RELIGION IS DUM LOL". If anyone's being disrespectful, it's them. But it comes down to preference. If you like hearing a double-bass pedal slamming non-stop, go ahead and enjoy your ATR. Nothing is stopping you. You don't gotta lash out and get all defensive about it.

TDWP makes songs that are mostly about attempting to live a pure life.
