I'll be there tomorrow. Look for the unusually tall blonde guy wearing his custom 'STFU>FO' shirt. :p
The elected Congress right now has a Republican majority, so this would have easily slid through if no one had protested it.
While I voted against him, it is exactly what he said he would do while he was running. I'm kind of surprised that people seem to be surprised by him actually following through with what he said he would do?

well finally americans show some spine and decide to protest something real
A fellow Wisconsin resident, I see. I'm rather confused on how this bill was able to get past the legislature; doesn't seem like majority vote material.

Oh yeah declaration of independence and all herp derp
But yeah you're right.
Assassinate him.
I sense a slush fund...
I was hoping people would actual be trying to save the government but its just more jacking around with the fucked up school system with no effort to actually fix the damn thing.
Call me crazy, but something tells me those teachers weren't actually sick
:colbert:
Best of luck with the protests.
This means nothing to us down Californiway!
OH SHIT FUCK, my mum's in Wisconsin, in Madison in fact! Hope she doesn't get swept up in the protests...
Make him go the way of hosni mubarak!
I never understand cutting money out of the educational system to save money. There must be other ways of saving money.....
I think it would be interesting to see how much more money would be saved by cutting government official's pay checks by the same amounts they propose.
Oh shit not again.
No one will jump on you for being cruel because the guy is R. It was terrible either way, and fucking A my automerge.
Facepunch in a nutshell. Also, cutting education funds is one thing; but increasing health care costs at the same time? Kinda dumb.
Okay, I'm English, so can an American explain to me how this works?
The Governor can introduce any bills he wants and the people in the state get no choice over the bill?

The bill was supposed to go to the legislature, but I'm suprised it got past there. I'm sure he passed it through secretly or something.
Anyway, in other news, people decided to sleep overnight at the capitol

It's a proposal, it hasn't gotten past anything yet. It's being voted on this week?

Wait, aren't the budget cuts meant to go to places like schools?

Turn up to the protest dressed as cheese
I don't understand why you guys are so upset.
South Dakota just cut 10% on everything this year. Or we're going to. Or something.

We got the £4,000,000 that was going to go towards building a new school for us (nearby one got closed down, they're all moving here) alone :smug:
