check out this nerd
What is your favorite thing in the world?
What the hell kind of question is that.
Once I was in school and some guy said he was a bigger nerd than me so I made him listen to Homestuck and Shenmue music and he called both game series gay and then he asked me if I liked CoD. Said no, immediately not a nerd. If anything it makes him a chavvy spide.

Did I just call Homestuck a game
Sure but not dancing and being drunk and listening to loud music. The only parties I'd go to are small LAN parties.
LAN parties aren't productive either, neither is sitting on facepunch in a matter of fact.
But how is partying productive? Does it help you gain skills that could help you become successful in the future and be able to work with the things you enjoy? Nope
No, seriously, that's what you sound like.
I'm a nerd because I know the actual in-depth history/lore of the Elder Scrolls games.
And I'm damn proud of it.
All of those things makes you a nerd? Using Facebook makes you a nerd too I guess, I mean, no big deal.
I don't know but I think using that word like that makes you look super mean.
True, but I dont go to many LAN parties and FP takes up a relatively small amount of time in comparison to what I get done. Some FP browsing is productive in a way, though. For example, I learn a whole lot by reading the programming WAYWO and the "Creative music in progress" thread. Since I plan to work in either games, music, film or any similar business, I think it's a really good way to gain knowledge and it inspires me to work on projects and improve my skills.

Making things is a lot of fun!

Also, at LAN parties I always spend some of the time browsing and working on things.

English professors are nerds because they understand the plotlines behind old fiction stories.
[/sarcasm]
State the obvious followed by a bunch of butthurt over someone's opinion instead of forming some kind of counter-opinion good job A+
Wait what
Do you seriously expect two people to shit up the whole thread going "X is great" "no X is bad"? Because, let me tell you: nobody ever changes their opinion on Facepunch. The best you can do is say that you respectfully disagree but are aware that people don't have to change their opinions to cater to yours.
No need to be a dick, basically.

2:39, replace "politics" with anything involving opinions

So if fiction is "nerdy", then are nonfiction nature documentaries cool?
we should make a facepunch reality show.
garry walks in with a shotgun "Banned"
let's do it
yet another GMOD video on cs_office
So if fiction is "nerdy", then are nonfiction nature documentaries cool?
NO, anything fun that doesn't involve drugs, alcohol, sex, or sticking it to the man is nerdy. And there are still exceptions; some of those things are nerdy too.
Even metal. ESPECIALLY metal (except Linkin Park, Sum-41, A7X, Slipknot and Disturbed).
[sp]/sarcasm and blatant disregard for genres[/sp]
Apparently anything that involves intelligence or that is not 100% conformist is nerdy to the general public.

Why do I have a feeling everyone who is accepted will be dead 2 days after arriving.
Because nothing has ever gone wrong on craigslist. Nope.
the ad is good
but the premise blows chunks
Jersey Shore's premise was far worse, and look at it now. Throw in a ton of liquor and you've got a smash hit.

Except Jersey Shore appeals to braindead people who like to say "o my gawd!" and "I'm so crazy! Aren't I crazy?"
Oh wait, that bodes ill for this upcoming show...I'm willing to bet every nerd will be an extreme form of a stereotype (like a gamer who pulls all-nighters every night/is Korean or someone who fanatically watches Star Trek and collects anything and everything about the show/weighs 400 pounds).
All facepunch user's will end up on the show.

Metal is considered nerdy? HHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG
stereotypical fake nerds that make for good television
I'm surprised dungeons & dragons wasn't on there too
I'd be surprised if the people making this even know what D&D is, let alone any other pen and paper games (Vampire, Paranoia, etc)
But yeah, this is likely going to be a bunch of spergy turbonerds, not more realistic individuals.
All facepunch user's will end up on the show.
This "joke" is at least as old as "FP IZ VIRGINZ LOLOLOLOL", and equally as unfunny. At least try to be creative guys.
This actually sounds like fun. It sucks that I'm two years too young.
You know what would be a better show.
A show where they help these "Über-Nerds" to become more outgoing and social. Instead of just making fun of them.
