But its... fun

Good enough reason to keep it. :v:

Not really a viable side arm imo. Obnoxiously big, awkward to hold/aim, mags dont fit anywhere, and its airsoft, my 1911 can do the same, if not better. Better a showpiece/plinker

If airsoft was all about practicality then we would all have p*s with box mags and AEPs. I play airsoft for fun, and if I have to give up some kills in order to have a more gratifying experience then so be it.

As much as I love me some performance, this is 110% the right attitude for airsoft.
Hence why I have stupidly expensive and impractical shotguns.
You should have no problems. I'm not sure if the KJW hop has the adjustment required to do .28's, but I have no reason to assume it can't.
However, moving single stock parts onto hicapas can be a definite issue, each part has its own rules. For example, Hicapa's don't use barrel bushings like 1911's at all, the guide rod fits directly into the lower part of the slide. However, I think there's a decent shot that you can still use a 1911 barrel in your hicapa, but I'd look for proof first.
If you want a new slide/threaded barrel, I'd save up and get an aluminum set, so that way you know the parts will fit together and you can make the whole thing look good. Mixing and matching barrels/slide brands is a really bad idea in Glocks, and I think its still a bit of a bad idea for hicapas, but once again research is your best bet.
Alright, I was asking because I know a lot of hicapas have flared barrels while my junked 1911 has a normal one. I'm pretty excited about this because I really don't get as flustered by gas guns as I do with gearboxes so I could actually have a gun go pew pew real good like :v:
goddamn it your avatar notrabies

I agree. I hate working on gearboxes, but I'll disassembly my pistols down to bits out of boredom. All you need is some 100% silicone oil in varying viscosities, and some basic tools and you can do anything you need to do.
So uh... yeah... any ideas on how to stretch out my mag pouches or where I can find larger ones that will fit the DE?
What's your opinion on stonger recoil and hammer springs?
What's your opinion on stonger recoil and hammer springs?
Recoil springs are good for fun, generally you want a 100%-150% for a metal slide, but I wouldn't replace yours unless you find it lacking. I would get a nice recoil spring guide rod though, the KJW ones seems to break down over time and cause some jams. Not needed unless you notice it locking though.
Hammer springs are almost never needed, they make you expend more gas per shot, which will up your fps and allow you to use steel slides, but I consider both of those to be bad ideas.
Alright, awesome. I can't wait til saturday so I can finally get my hands on it.
Greaaaat. The 417 I bought just happened to crack it's gearbox shell. He has a spare so he's going to try to fix it, but if not, I need an alternative. I found this deal for $550:

Don't you own an M60?
that ris looks weird as fuck with a suppressor for some reason

Two different guns. You can't put a sling on a Deagle nor deploy it on a bipod. Plus it doesn't hold 5000 bbs with one mag.
Well I could drop a P* in an M4, run some hicaps (or a box mag if you NEED 4000 bbs) and get the exact same, if not better effect but in a much more mobile platform.

You're not thinking with portals here.
the e4 is rather small as machine guns go anyway

i'm pretty sure that's the only way to run a desert eagle

When marching band has you sprint non-stop for 8 hours with almost no water while carrying around a 6-pound instrument, you never feel pain again.

I gurentee no field allows this as a support weapon
mine does
[sp]because everything that isn't a basr is grouped under one category with no restrictions except for fps[/sp]
a lot of fields don't really care about that shit, unfortunately (at least for regular fields)
it's when it comes to the bigger events that things like that are regulated

Fields I go to have lots of semi-only games, only support weapons are allowed full-auto bursts.

See, my marching band doesn't do that because I'm sure the school likes to avoid kids going to the hospital.

I see the californies around me dropping like flies no matter what. These people are made out of paper and it's absolutely hilarious to watch them moan about 90-degree weather while they carry around their piccolos and sip from their camelbaks.
