I forget where it's from but I was talking with code and herf about the one it's modeled after and it looks pretty neat and futuristic since it's longer and doesn't look so compact and stupid
I forget where it's from but I was talking with code and herf about the one it's modeled after and it looks pretty neat and futuristic since it's longer and doesn't look so compact and stupid
How does the original look like?
I guess its based on the general Seburo aesthetic look, but I dont think its actually based on any actual gun from GitS or Appleseed [editline]9th March 2013[/editline] I guess the closest thing I can find is this: It's from New Dominion Tank Police
Has anyone ever tried this out, it looks interesting but I don't know what to think about it: Its pretty much an m4 covered in polymer, its full name is: The JG STAR DRAGON THUNDER MAUL M4
According to Timebomb I have terrible taste, but having seen it in person I'm kind of okay with that gun. With a regular STANAG and the stock extended it looks about a million times better.
It's too "organic" to my taste. I prefer my futuristic guns blocky and edgy. The 2142's Krylov AR marks the border for me, it's quite organic but I still like it a lot. But the Scar 11 is and will always be the shit for me. In terms of looks, that is. Back when I played 2142, if I was PAC I'd always pick the assault kit with the Krylov, not the Baur or Voss, it's just that amazing. If I was on EU side, I'd look for a downed PAC assault kit with the Krylov.

"compressed ammo" lolololol Yeah it's a great looker but I never really enjoyed playing with it, it seemed lacking in firepower a lot.
i never used the krylov because i hated the squeaky sounds it made when you took it out and reloaded it
Lambert had absolutely terrible accuracy (when I used it anyway), I wish it didn't suck so much :C The thing about the Krylov is it had a 900rpm compared to the SCAR and Baur's 600, and the recoil was much more manageable than the Voss' - that's what made it so good. I guess it's the AEK-971 of 2142. Also same ammunition for PK rockets/Herzog olol
I totally want the isa ar from kz
New pics of the Izhmash AEGs from RA
First off - a note to Moderators : I'm not sure if this is allowed on the orum , if not - just delete this post or modify if needed. My friend was on IWA fair , and sent me pics of Izmash AEGs - but the pisc are small , so I will post pictures from Facebook , posted by polish Gunfire web shop ( I belive no one will argue about this ?). So here it is: Pictures are from Izmash both on IWA fair. They did not tell the price of rifles to my friend nor the date of relase. But it seems that they are making a few versions of AK74 / 47 - AEGs ( there is also a version of AK105 but with wood handguards , but it cannot be seen on this pictures ). I belive they will release them in the same time - which is good , because you can buy the one you like the most ( but knowing myself , I won't get settled until I get them all :) ).
I wish there was a huge comprehensive guide to hi-capas.
licensing? I don't think they'd have to crank up the price to be able to have real Kalashnikov trademarks if they ARE Kalashnikov unless they have to pay themselves or i'm misinterpereting what you mean
I wish there was a huge comprehensive guide to hi-capas.
Have you tried google?
Yeah, I found a couple but as helpful as they are they all seem to be from a few years ago. So like the suggestions of nineball buckings seem outdated as I find recent reviews complaining about them. [editline]10th March 2013[/editline] http://www.airsoft-barracks.com/forums/topic/3592-tm-hi-capa-upgrade-parts-a-complete-guide/ This is the one I found the most helpful but it's like 5 years old so I'm finding new parts, like the angel custom's on Evike or bad reviews for items that people vouch for in these threads, like the nineball purples
Yeah, I found a couple but as helpful as they are they all seem to be from a few years ago. If you want maximum accuracy/range, just get a TK twist barrel and nineball bucking, and then just be really impressed every time you shoot it.
Well remember, I'm just replacing internals in a KJW that I know is pretty old. Where can I find a TK twist for a 5.1?

You're lucky though, Glock 17 TK twists are sold out everywhere I've looked.
So since the barrel spins the bb, would the hop-up mess that up?
So since the barrel spins the bb, would the hop-up mess that up?
Barrel does not spin the bb. The barrel spins the air around the bb, which gives it ridiculous stability. Since your bb isn't smacking into the sides of your inner barrel as much as a normal barrel (if at all), the hopup is allowed to perform at its maximum, so you get better range and greater consistency. [editline]10th March 2013[/editline] People are known to do sniper rifle builds at under 330 fps (so that the barrel can function) and still get better range and accuracy than high fps builds.
okay perfect :D Now all I have to save up for is a new slide because the one it has now is ugly as sin. I'm glad the TK is on that site because it also has the nineball bucking. I really appreciate it. I'm finally going to have a side arm lol

Either get some sort of fancy retention holster, one of those bungies that keep your magazine in your gun, or always keep your magazines out of your pistol. Most cheap holsters contact the magazines release, so any sort of running can lead to a lost/broken mag. Hell, depending on how swampy your field is, I'd probably consider getting a pistol lanyard so you don't lose the whole gun.
It comes with pistol undies so the one mag it has won't fall. I'll probably stick it in one of my double M4 pouches and tie it with paracord for now. What sort of bbs would be best for the TK barrel. I know it has to stay under 1j, and right now I have elite force .25s
Oh yeah does anyone here know of any large pistol mag pouches that can hold DE mags? My current pouches fit my USP mags fairly well, but are stretched to their absolute limits with my DE mags (without the velcro cover on).

Also keep in mind that the 1 joule limit isn't messed with by different bb weights, if your gun shoots at 1 joule, it will shoot at 300fps with a .25g, and 330 fps with a .2g, so just use whatever bb's you like the most.

Will I be able to move a WE single stack outer barrel and barrel bushing into the KJW? I want to be able to have a threading adapter on it.

I want to be able to have a threading adapter on it.
You should have no problems. I'm not sure if the KJW hop has the adjustment required to do .28's, but I have no reason to assume it can't. However, moving single stock parts onto hicapas can be a definite issue, each part has its own rules. For example, Hicapa's don't use barrel bushings like 1911's at all, the guide rod fits directly into the lower part of the slide. However, I think there's a decent shot that you can still use a 1911 barrel in your hicapa, but I'd look for proof first. If you want a new slide/threaded barrel, I'd save up and get an aluminum set, so that way you know the parts will fit together and you can make the whole thing look good. Mixing and matching barrels/slide brands is a really bad idea in Glocks, and I think its still a bit of a bad idea for hicapas, but once again research is your best bet.
