he already has a lawyer. also, public lawyers are just as good as private lawyers:

I don't see why anyone should donate, he already has a lawyer.
why the fuck does everyone need a lawyer?
Was law shit back in the days without lawyers?
Oh no, he is not innocent at all. I'm trying to decipher his motivations here. Why, for instance, would be help the police remove the IED's if he wanted death?
I realize that he will never be outside of jail, I was way too naive some posts up ('specially Murica). I just hope our thirst for retaliation won't turn us into monsters over this.

He didn't help remove any IED's, as far as I am aware of.
What exactly did Dzhokhar do? I don't think he oversaw the creation of the pressure cookers or other devices, or planned the attacks (My guess is that Tamerlan did that). It's also unclear whether Dzhokhar had any direct involvement with killing the cop. To me it seems like he can talk the talk etc, but was more complicit in the attack than anything else. He certainly has the motive, but according to the wiki page it's more of a criminal psychology rather than a terrorist psychology, unlike his brother.
BTW, he was interrogated by the high-value interrogation group. I don't think they released what information he gave out, so who knows how he helped.

Because a person cannot defend himself properly in front of a judge. Even lawyers themselves hire other lawyers when they're being tried
I'm having a hard time comprehending the comments. He deserves justice, so execution is in order? According to those people, it seems it is.
To execute him and not give him a proper trial is what the US justice is directly against. Hypocrisy at its finest.
Exactly. If he isn't given a fair trail then America as a country would have failed. By them ignoring their own country's founding principles, especially in this situation, would be sticking a middle finger to their founding fathers. Donating could technically support the example of due process and fair trail for which America is also known for.
