People that are saying the internet, computers, and bad music do not make any sense at all. Computers became a business tool in the 80's, personal in the 90's, along with internet in the 90's. If you grew up in the eighties, you would say that music was shit then too, then look back and appreciate it "compared to the shit now". Hard to say unless you have actually experienced this. Also, sending the first spacecraft to examine Pluto. Also hip hop is not the only genre in this generation, none is dead. Jazz, techno, pop and especially rock are as popular as they always were. But you only hear about hip hop in the media.

Maybe the issue of global warming. I know that began before the 2000s, but it wasn't until this last decade did action actually start to be taken.
