who cares its singleplayer
we don't know that yet
[editline]28th April 2015[/editline]
...do we?
Are you always this salty...or?
Yep.
Except that the player isn't doing anything then? This trailer shows nothing but the player actively doing things.
My point is that it doesn't really show how it looks when you do that. Thus you can't really get much of an idea of how it actually feels doing these things. It doesn't really give you any idea of what the gameplay is actually like to, well, play.
I love the mediterranean setting, great choice and pretty unique.
Rico doesn't look like Rico in 9/10 shots. Looks like a generic white-guy-with-dirt-tan action hero.
Kinda like he's not latino enough.
just cause 3 starring chris redfield as rico rodriguez
that tower buckling and warping and collapsing as the plane flew into it omgomgomgomg

I'm almost certain they've confirmed Multiplayer.
I sorta hope there's a Contrast/Saturation option in the settings, because everything seems a tad too eye burningly colourful right now :v:

Holy shit

Multiple wires without a trainer?
I'm not sure if it was confirmed before PAX, but they should images of this at PAX.
Kinda hoped the trailer will be longer, also the pre-order content at the end kinda ruined it for me.
But still, I cant wait for this game and i want the best to come out of it.
The games gonna be modable no doubt so why get annoyed/frustrated with it
The games gonna be modable no doubt so why get annoyed/frustrated with it
Because modding can only go so far compared to full source code access.
People modded the game to allow MP so, i think they'll be able to do a lot
[editline]28th April 2015[/editline]
I mean it slightly annoyed me to, just the whole "PREORDER DLC" out loud thing but then i remember it will be modable

Just Cause 2 was moddable, but there really wasn't much when it came to actual content mods, and I doubt this will be any different in that regard.
Looks like more of the same. That's not a bad thing, but even the environment looks just like Panau.
They can definitely pull it off with a couple new things, though, JC2.5 is fine by me.
These crazy mother fuckers are releasing this and Mad Max in the same year? God damn it's gonna be good year for me to blow shit up.
Sometimes, most times even, I can understand when people get upset at preorder bonuses and the like, like when it's some sort of locked content or exclusive missions or whatever that you'll literally just never be able to get because you had to buy it from some specific store or what have you... But this is just a pack of cars. A pack of cars that, if Just Cause 2 can be any sort of example, will be put on sale for like $0.99 some time after release. I don't see the fuss.
I just hope they fix the driving controls for the PC version
Doesn't seem like there's much new content tbh
Was that some soft-body physics on that radio tower at 0:52? More likely just a cutscene but I'm optimistic.
I just hope there's more incentive to explore.
that tower buckling and warping and collapsing as the plane flew into it omgomgomgomg
i feel you bro, that looked tasty
I just hope there's more incentive to explore.
The fact that it's not another tropical island chain is incentive enough for me.
Not really impressed. Looks exactly the same as JC2.
[editline]28th April 2015[/editline]
I'm not spending 60 bucks on a dlc is what I'm saying.
Hopefully the ground combat will feel less floaty and more satisfying in this game.
Was that some soft-body physics on that radio tower at 0:52? More likely just a cutscene but I'm optimistic.
I doubt that's a cutscene, since flying a cargo plane into a radio tower was a fairly common occurrence in JC2, and wouldn't be special enough to warrant it's own cutscene. Overall it looks like the destruction physics are seriously improved.
I'm interested, but not hyped. They didn't show any actual gameplay from how we are going to see it, we didn't really see anything that wasn't in JC2 already, but they cut the weaponized vehicles. I hope it turns out good.

Yeah it looks like JC2. The setting looks the same and mostly everything does. I hope there's more than just multi-wires.
Yeah it looks like JC2. The setting looks the same and mostly everything does. I hope there's more than just multi-wires.
There's more than just multi-wires:
-Wingsuit
-Controllable wire tension (so you can reel things into eachother)
-Underground areas and caves
-Denser environment overall
-Improved vehicle handling, physics, and damage systems.
-Improved destruction systems (destruction is described as "cascading" so if you knock down something big, chances are it will knock even more stuff down and cause a chain reaction.)
-Destructible bridges
-Rather than being attached to a certain point on a vehicle when standing on it, Rico can walk all around on top of a vehicle.
-Trains (and derailment, look at :47 in the trailer)
-Improved AI system that scales depending on what you are doing (jump in a tank and the enemy will start sending more rocket troopers)
-Enemies also appear to be able to attack you in tanks as well now (hopefully jets too but that's just me speculating)
-Unlimited C4 and Grenades
-Increased the number of weapons you can carry (2 on the back and 2 in your holsters)
-Some crazy new weapons, like multi rocket launcher that can lock on to 9 targets, or the shotgun grenade launcher seen at :38 in the trailer.
-There's been some mention of random events (though I'm not sure what that will entail)
It looks like it's gonna be packing way more than JC2 did.
vastly improved destruction and unlimited explosives?
sold

Are you always this middle-school...or?
Even if what he says is dumb why would you ever jump straight to "umad"
How do people come to the conclusion this is little more than DLC? in that short trailer you can see quite a variety of things changed.
More than FC4 changed from FC3, that's for sure.
Not really impressed. Looks exactly the same as JC2.

No it fucking doesn't. No offense, but if you somehow think that it looks the same as JC2, you're goddamn blind.
