Just this morning I was heading out of my neighborhood on my way to school. It had rained a bit last night, then started snowing so the rain on the roads froze, making for near impossible to stop conditions. I knew from last winter to stop much earlier than usual. So I'm pulling up to the stop sign that leads onto the highway. there's two cars in front of me. I begin to apply the brake, and before you know it, my back tires loose traction. I have about ten seconds till impact, so thinking quickly I let off the brakes until I get traction again, then apply the brakes extremely lightly, but to no avail I begin to slide again. I try this strategy a few more times. I have about 3 seconds left, only going 5 MPH now, but still enough to do a bit of damage. I begin honking hoping the guy in front of me notices and pulls forward as much as he can. Thankfully the car in front of him has a chance to enter the highway, allowing the car I'm about to hit to pull forward. I stop about 3 feet from his rear bumper, and I just take a slow deep breath and move on with my day. This kind of stuff happened to me last year too, and one time I was going downhill. lets just say, I went right through the stop sign. A few months ago, I was backing out of a del taco parking lot. I have a decent sized truck (Chevy 2500) so it's hard for me to maneuver in small lots, so I was backing into the empty stop behind me, allowing me to pull forward and turn to exit the lot. I was looking in all my mirrors as usual, but my driver side mirror was loose, so driving at high speed pushes it in a few inches. It wasn't bad enough that I had to fix it, so I would just lean forward to see that mirror. I don't know how i didn't see the truck in the space next to the one I was backing into, but I backed right into his bumper. I got out to inspect the damage, then went inside to find the owner of the vehicle. The store was full of men in their army uniforms. Almost shit my self, but I asked loudly who owned the truck. Thankfully it was the only guy there who wasn't in the military. He wasn't happy, but he wasn't a dick about it. The damage to his truck was a decent dent in his bumper, and the bumper pushed in and bent the quarter panel, making it so he couldn't open his tail gate. My truck however, unscathed. Sorry for the huge post.
when i was in first grade i tried sneaking to the store with my mom but i went from the front seat and crawled back but about halfway i hit the gear shifter out of park i got back in the front seat and for some reason i jumped out while its moving i hit the door fell on the ground and the car rolled over me and broke my pelvis
Not exactly a crabs, but I had someone scrape the front bumper of my car as they left a car park. Pretty good he came and found me actually. He could've driven off and I wouldn't have known it was him. It was only a few paint layers taken off but it did look like if the weather got worse it could have been pretty serious. I took my car back to Ford as it was still under warranty. After half an hour of waiting while the car was being inspected for an estimate, I was told that the entire bumper had to be sprayed and the nearside quarter, or the colours wouldn't match. Seemed fair enough. My car being white, if the shades were different it would be really obvious. The cost? £489.65. I said I'd think about it and found a family friend that did it all for £70, plus full car wash, and fixed any other scratches he could find. Win.

Just had a very undramatic one today. A friend of mine was driving us to a book store on a really icy road and we crashed very slowly into a bunch of snow directly in front of a lamp post. There was no damage to anything or anyone and we easily managed to push it back on the road, but the funny thing was that the second after the car had stopped, his mother called him.
I was riding on a moped about a year ago in thailand (one of my first times riding one, no license or anything). With some genius thinking, I was wearing flip-flops, shorts and a t-shirt and no helmet. Some dog ran in front of me and I swerved to my left without thinking. I blacked out for most of it but I do remember sliding on the road on my side while still on the bike for a good 20-30 feet. I immediately got back up and the first thing in my mind was how bad I felt for the bike since it belonged to a friend of mine. I checked the moped, it wasn't too bad, a couple scratches, the handlebar was a bit bent. Then I looked at my feet (my flip-flops flew in some other direction) and it was completely covered in blood and I was like "oooh shit". Didn't feel much pain until I was getting it cleaned at the hospital. Here's some delicious pics of my foot: Doesn't it kinda look like pizza? I had similar but less serious wounds along my forearms, knees and elbows, ended being on crutches for about 3 weeks.

this thread makes me want to crash cars
I also crashed once, and I hit a tree. Also it was on the same day I got laid. Sex was cause of speeding on unknown wet roads. Sex makes you retarded and crash cars. Just say no to driving car after having sex the first time.
Someone pulled out of a junction and I crashed into them on my motorbike going about 60mph. He drove off and I got taken to hospital with only a graze since I was wearing full armour/leathers also my bike was fine too, still worked perfectly and I got £3,000 comp
Dont have any pictures but heres two stories. First was my car accident in May of 2011. I was in the left lane on a 4 lane road, was stuck behind a guy who didnt know how to make the fucking turn, so I tried merging but as I merged I side swiped a guy. He wasn't hurt but his driver side door was stuck shut lol. Roughly 3k in damages but it looked like I totaled my car. The second was in 2007 when my mom was driving to pick me up from a Summer program. This lady was turning across the road into a parking lot in a Lexus SUV crossover thing, as my mom was driving by. Instead of speeding up to get clear, she SLOWED DOWN and my mom tboned her. Best Part? My mom was driving a Suburban. The Lexus was destroyed, completely totaled. Frame bent, all side windows smashed, the front hooks of the Suburban blew out the rear tire. All the airbags went off. The lady goes berserk and starts accusing my mom of deliberately hitting her and shit. The cops show up and take one look at her car and say, "Lady, shut the fuck up before we charge you with disorderly conduct, this was your fault." Our Suburban came away with a small dent on the hood, a damaged engine bracket and the N on Suburban plate was knocked off, making it the Suburba. Not a single airbag went off and my mom wasn't even dazed. My mom picked me up ON TIME. Chevy Stronk.
Not a crash but while I was going through an intersection some jackass barreled through the red light going 50 mph and almost t-boned me Also today I had to go out to buy a few things and the road was super frozen. Not fun
Bloody hell it pisses me off when I read about people just driving off. The complete selfishness.
I nudged a guy who ran out from two cars once and that's about it. Actually here you go:
I really hate people that start crossing a busy road without even checking for traffic. I'm bike daily and the amount of people that start crossing the road and actually getting angry if someone almost crashes into them is just.. It's shocking how many people are so careless.
Back in HS, around 8-9th grade, I was riding around the backroads of my family's new house. Was trying to find a shorter route there and back from school. My (now ex) girlfriend kept messing with me by playfully biting me and all this shit. Eventually it got a little distracting and I took a sharp curve a little too fast. Overcorrected on the gravel road and slammed into a tree at 50mph. Car was totaled, but me and her were fine. The worst part was that a doctor made me lift my shirt up to look for injuries. All she found were a dozen bite marks :v:
Not really my crash but my mom once hit a shopping cart with my dads 4runner without realizing it. She dragged the cart 40 minutes from the store to home before noticing the mangled cart stuck in the front suspension. My dad had to cut the thing apart to get it un stuck.

Me and my friend were stopped at an intersection when a Jeep ran a red light and rammed into some other car. Then that other car started rolling and actually hit a bicyclist who flipped over on his head, but he got up and just shrugged it off. It was pretty weird.

Was quite a few years ago anyway.
So they're not really crashes, but I had 2 very close calls in the span of about a minute. The first one I was driving down a road at the speed limit (40mph) in the right hand lane and a guy decides to just turn from a residential street into the main road without looking. Braked a good amount and nothing in my car moved. The second one, I was coming up to the first intersection away from my house in the right lane still. I have a green light and the left hand turn lane has a green arrow. I'm going through and the light hasn't even turned YELLOW when the car in the opposite direction in the left hand lane decides to turn right in front of me. I braked as hard as I could, which was easy enough with ABS. Didn't touch the horn at all and I continued to go after the car cleared the intersection. The book that was sitting right next to me had slammed into the front of the car from how hard I braked. If I didn't react as fast as I did or I was distracted, I would've hit the car in the middle of the intersection. I don't even know how bad it could of been if it happened. So yeah... I'm a little freaked out still because I haven't had any close calls as bad as the one today. Oh, Page-king, as well.
