They copied the Dutch playstyle. Play attractive, score lots of goals... and then botch it up at the last moment and give the victory away...
Such a shame really. I was really looking forward to a Germany - Netherlands match. Germany played so well, unfortunately both teams just didn't seem to be able to score, and then Spain got lucky and had a short midfielder surprise the goalie when the defense was asleep. Shame shame shame.
Oh well, Germany. You wore the Orange shoes, and that means that eventhough there's no victory, the rest of the world will remember your matches with fond memories, remembering the slaughterhouses that were Germany - England and Germany - Argentina.
As for the finals, Spain looks like a very tough opponent, but they'll have to figure out a way to not need fifteen opportunities to score one goal, or else the Netherlands might be ahead by a landslide before Spain manages to score.
