Yeah. I was going to get the same card. I saw it in the store and I had the money but I went home and looked into it. Glad I didn't get it. Oh yeah... If you can't use the card in the first place without cutting shit off if it... Return it and get one that will actually fit inside of your computer next time eh? And maybe not get one from Best Buy?...
Your card is probably only overheating because your case is too cramped and it's your fault so you can't call it defective
It's your own fault... Wow. And way to realize giant chain companies like Best Buy rip you off! You are smart!
How old are you?
too young to be working with computers
Hey guize my pc got a virus so i bought a new one :(
One more thing, what the hell is a best buy doing in Canada? I thought they were called future shops up there?
They operate both Future Shop and Best Buy up here now... even though they're owned by the same company. So basically, they operate 2 different stores to make it appear there is some competition when there isn't.
No research before making an expensive purchase makes you a fucking idiot. Good job.
I hate Best Buy, the only reason I use it is to play Rock Band with my friends
I always do this when i go to best buy  ive never had problems with Best Buy though. Don't know what happened with you.. maybe they dont like you
Copy of 20th century card-cutting troll, Y/N ?
In my opinion, Newegg is the best site for buying computer parts. Also, It's your fault for 1. not researching and 2. Cutting the card. Don't blame it on others.
I wish there was a Newegg type thing for people outside of North America. Everything is so damned expensive... Even if the metal parts were just for keeping it stable, what the hell brought it upon you to cleave massive chunks of them off before doing anything else?
Holy shit guys, thiese are the parts a cut off. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/5281/sapphireatiradeonhd4550.jpg
Why did you even think it was an idea to cut pieces off computer hardware?
Its a fucking slimline case. and the metal part come off anyways so whats the problem with cutting them?
Its a fucking slimline case. and the metal part come off anyways so whats the problem with cutting them?
Why the fuck didn't you just unscrew them and take them off then? Why would you intentionally damage the card before you even knew if it worked?
Why the fuck didn't you just unscrew them and take them off then? So i just cut it off and found a way to stabilize it. And it was my dads idea and he is a drunken hillbilly with a passion for cutting metal.
-snippppppp-
I tried unscrewing it but inside the case it kept coming unconnected like fuck. So i just cut it off and found a way to stabilize it. And it was my dads idea and he is a drunken hillbilly with a passion for cutting metal.
If he's a drunken hillbilly who just likes to cut shit and you know this, why take his advice? You're making yourself look worse and worse every time you present an excuse. So this is the straight story right? You bought an overpriced card from Best Buy, it wouldn't fit in your case, so you decided to cut pieces off without consulting an expert? If so, sorry to say, you had this coming. Maybe someone here can help you still though.
I paid about £50 for that card about a year or a year and a half ago. :v: My friend is buying it off me for £20 soon.
grow a brain
How hard is it to find a replacement bracket for a few dollars on the internet? [editline]07:08PM[/editline] Maybe buy the one on newegg, replace the brackets and return the other one?
And it was my dads idea and he is a drunken hillbilly with a passion for cutting metal.
Then why the fuck did you allow him in the same room as PC components?
Wow that is very dumb of you, i mean why would u cut something off of the graphics card?
I tried unscrewing it but inside the case it kept coming unconnected like fuck. So i just cut it off and found a way to stabilize it. And it was my dads idea and he is a drunken hillbilly with a passion for cutting metal.
Why didn't you just take it out of the case, unscrew the pieces, then put it back in the case? You can use zipties to rig up a little suspender for the compnent usually.
Why wouldn't you do some research and shop around a bit before making a hefty purchase like that?
are you mentally challenged or something why would you cut off part of the card
Well. now im going to try to buy a 9800 GTX + from newegg. Or some guy thats high on crack and selling it for less than that on ebay.
So you bought a card that wouldn't fit in your case and now you're going to buy a bigass 9800? Are you going to cut the card in half or something?
And you didn't use Newegg why? Tell me you're in the UK :(. No one can be that stupid
THIS CARD DOESN'T FIT IN MY COMPUTER I'LL JUST CUT SHIT OFF OF IT FUCK YEAH I'M SMART Great job [editline]04:22AM[/editline] Yeah you're an idiot if you don't use NewEgg for anything computer hardware related.
My uncle somehow convinced us to get my old laptop from them, HP Pavillion DV8000. I brought it in for a tune up once because I figured I might as well seeing I had one free one, when I told them I refused to pay for the extra shit they did without asking first they "undid" it by formatting the drive. I bitched to corporate until they finally gave me a $750 gift card for compensation to my lost data and inconvenience. Needless to say I got shit that I wouldn't have to take back to them if they broke (games, movies, etc) and never stepped foot in there. Even when I was checking out the dumb bitch claimed that the gift card wouldn't pay for the tax even if there's more then enough on it.
