Then you come on facepunch(of all places) and rage about it.
Okay guys, tell me how i was suppose to get it to fit.
You weren't. You need one of these cards.
I find it ironic that I paid the same price you did for a HD5850.
It's funny because i bought ATI 4670 HD 1GB for about 45 euros,it's very worth the money.
Last Friday i bought an Ati Radeon HD 4550 from bestbuy for the price of $150 canadian dollars.
There's yur problem.
Should have looked here: 4550 - $50 http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=020641&cid=VDC.243.272 4870 - $150 http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=020837&cid=VDC.243.272
Oh well should have Researched more before you bought it I'm waiting for my brothers computer to finish with his 2 5870s.
Oh my fucking god I laughed for like 20 seconds. OP is incredibly stupid.
I'm surprised people still buy things from Best Buy even though they're just out to rip you off.
I swear I made a thread just like this a year ago.
Congratulations on finding out Best Buy overprices everything for no good reason at all other than being greedy. You should try Geek Squad though, because they never perform unnecessary repairs on things that were never broken in the first place just to rack up the bill.
Download extra RAM: $150 Blow dust of fan: $200
Okay guys, tell me how i was suppose to get it to fit.
The fact that it didn't fit should have given you an idea that it wasn't supposed to fit. See, if you hadn't have cut it, you could have checked online and saw it was overpriced, returned it and get a card that will actually fit and/or work.
The metal peices that hook onto your pc to keep it stable. It wasent part of the board or fan or w/e it had screws to take it off.
If you just unscrewed it, screw it back on, then return it saying, it didn't fit in the box???
Should have looked here: 4550 - $50 http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=020641&cid=VDC.243.272 4870 - $150 http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=020837&cid=VDC.243.272
I don't think either of those are low profile cards. He either needs to get a low profile card, or get a new fucking computer that isn't slimline.
Bestbuy sucks, try and go somewhere else
I love how people who don't know anything about making a PC decide to do it anyway without any research then complain to an internet forum about how they got overcharged.
It's OK, his dad's friend works at Nvidia and told him to cut off the anti-overclocking chip.
Maby as the janitor.
I bought my G500 for $40 at Best Buy. Newegg had it for $70. I got ripped off.
Who buys things from bestbuy?
I saw pair Sennheiser's there for $80. Then I saw them at Wal-Mart for $30.
Why the fuck did you buy a strategy guide for a valve game
Why the fuck buy a strategy guide ever? Just google GameFAQs or something.
I buy Mice and headsets and other things like that from Best Buy. Only when they're on sale though. Got my G500 for $30 and my headset for $20 (Plantronics, normally $50). I wont buy components from them though, GTX260 is still like $250 there. Fuck that.
I never see computer stores with better prices than Newegg.
