My eyes when viewing a 3D movie:
Toy Story 3 should not have been in 3D. There were no interesting 3D effects.
I think 3d only works well with things like animated movies, but Toy Story 3 wasn't great to be honest. 3d kills the quality as well, so they should work on a sharper 2d picture as opposed to a crap 3d picture.
I didn't get the 3D in avatar, and I hardly noticed it anywhere, yet everyone I know thinks 3D on the big screen is way better than regulare 1080p on my "small" 40" TV There's videos that would be awesome in 3D, like jurassic park, but I haven't seen a good 3D movie yet.
3D looks like shit and hurts my eyes. Fuck it.
It's like HD. a fad that will die down. on the upside, lets predict what comes next!
It's like HD. a fad that will die down. on the upside, lets predict what comes next!
Well HD ain't going away, and a good thing too, I've been waiting years for filmmakers to finally release content that doesn't look like ass on my monitor, however I wish they'd stop using the word 'HD' so much, it's a PR buzzword that's incredibly vague. Just treat it as the natural evolution of picture quality, rather than 'OH EM GEE THE PICTURZ ARE SO SHARP BUY OUR OVERPRICED DVDS'. 3D though, you've got two choices, tasteful Avatar 3D, which is just there and doesn't do any shitty 'SHIT IS FLYING AT THE CAMERA LOL' moments, or the aforementioned 3D gimmick fest where shit just flies at the camera for the whole movie. For the former, what's the point? It's not adding anything to the movie For the latter, it's adding something to the movie, but in a really obnoxious gimmicky way. If 3D films were all using Avatar quality tech and were priced the same as the 2D showings then I'd be cool with it, but in every case it's a gimmick so the cinemas can overcharge you even more for a ticket than they already do.

Now 3D is fine when done right, though people running their entire movie through a edge-detection software is fucking common and lame. I haven't seen Clash of the Titans, though everyone I know who saw it in 3D regretted it. The reason being the edge-detection software half-assing the 3D.
i think people who saw clash of the titans in general regretted it
HD is a fad that died down? wut [editline]09:49PM[/editline] i think people who saw clash of the titans in general regretted it
A lot of people were all "UMG HD" when it was fisrt done. Now people are all "UMG 3D".
I'm not a fan Watching Avatar was like tripping the fuck out, I couldn't focus on shit and I had a headache that was getting worse and worse [editline]10:39PM[/editline]
Don't fucking remind me of Spy Kids. That movie was disgusting. Also, i have nothing against 3D as long as it doesn't ruin the movie. If it's just an addition to improve visual experience, then for fucks sake, by all means.
Fuck your shit, I watched that as a kid and thought it was awesome
