My friend claims the reason the flag moved because they where shaking it. And since there's no gravity, it was only looking like that wind was blowing.
the computer was weaker than a cell phone
And in 40 years we haven't accomplished anything else that cool.

* no air
No air, he bounced too much, computers weren't powerful enough and there's something about the craters.

You're on a machine that makes a picture many times a second, talking with people across the world.
Is that really comparible to travelling to the moon in a tin can though Hunt?

Yessir, if you realize that everything now runs on computers.
But if they had the power to launch a rocket into space with computers, they already knew things would be entirely run by computers, I'm thinking about the year, not just the launching.

But not people on the moon, which we had in '69.
Wait, I've always wanted to question this but I felt dumb.
Why haven't we gone back, since America and Russia had that lameass space race, why have neither of them returned?

'Cause we won the race. There is no more chest-thumping to prove ourselves. We wouldn't be fucking our enemies over if we went now, and that was pretty much the entire point it was funded in the first place.
Earth is really Mars they just don't want to tell everyone that we have already gotten to Mars yet.

We haven't returned because of funding. 1969 it was fueled by the race to the moon, the Russians also had a fail moon rocket called the N1 this was kept a secret until after the cold war.
After the moon what else does a country do? Mars is too far for the technology, and you cant make a base on the moon cause they cant make food, oxygen, or enough power in 1969. So they decided to keep it close to home.
So lucky us gizmodo has posted pictures of the moon landing sites from the LRO orbiter.

You too.
Only 2 days left till they land on the moon!
I remember when this happened. I bought myself a Color TV just to watch it.
We should have been to Mars by now, if only for a short proof-of-concept like the 1969 moon landing was. Really, NASA, its fucking unacceptable that with today's level of technology we haven't even sent people past low-earth-orbit for 30 years. The budget for the Apollo landings was just under $20 billion, which is a fraction of the amount of money being pumped into the economy to keep it afloat ... which hasn't even worked yet either. So put that money to a better use - exploration and the acquisition of knowledge, the two characteristics that define human beings. Other than war.
Every single nuke should have been a space exploration vehicle instead.

Fuckin A. Unfortunately, we place a far greater value on lining our own pockets and bombing brown people than we do on securing our own future.
