Make sure to wipe the cats eyes with a warm cloth. It could be mucus around the eye, and if you leave it, it will glue the eye shut and then get infected, and the cat will have to lose it's eye.

My dogs, both boxers once caught a cat and completely ripped it in half. Like seriously, they played tug of war with it and tore it in half, i hate to say it but it was pretty damn awesome.

He found it laying in the snow, tossed it up onto the concrete, and then stomped its head. I had to bury the stupid thing because flattened cat head isn't exactly eye candy.
