I have a question regarding creative writing. I am entering in a contest where you have to write a work of fiction witha minimum of 500 words. I've hit 3,000. I understand that quality beats quantity, but say if my work is too long, it may deject the quality of the work. Any help? If this is in the wrong thread I'm sorry. I don't know where to post it.

They said minimum of 500. You can write as much as you want. If you feel as though you have more to tell, write more. By no means should you continue writing if you've finished telling the story and just want to make it longer for aesthetic reasons.

My friend wants to make a Dalek so I'm making some drafts in AutoCAD with the dimensions. I'm going to try to make a 3D one that he can rotate to see every dimension and what the finished project should look like. I'm working off some plans that I got from a website called Project Dalek, but it doesn't have every dimension so I have to work with what it gives me and hope it's right. This is all I have so far.
