pose is quite horribad, stiff and such and there's noa anatomy to speak of.
Arrgh! I'm having a nightmare with my flash game. Flash is having trouble running the game engine and the level of detail in all the scenery and animation layers. I'm having to convert all animations to frame by frame and all landscapes to as few layers as possible. And this is all before music and sound effects are added. Fuk u adobe!
But do two separate flash games, one with gameplay other with backgrounds!
Haha! That might just work! But on a brighter side. I think I've found the problem, its not how much ram I can allocate to each part, its just a very buggy code for the water reflection. I'll get my actionscript bitches to fix it.
is my legioner okay as it is, so I can continue on it or is it absolutely no good. I could use some colour tests.

I'm not sure where to post this, so I'm going to post it here. I want to know how I can make my posing skills a little better, and where I can improve. I felt bad after posting that other drawing, that I feel the need to redeem myself.
posemaniacs.com 30 second pose thing. The quality there is fucking intimidating, so I hardly post.

It's worth it :)
Thanks, only recently starting posting in that SA thread. Teatching myself how to draw faces. This is not a trace, took only the head sphere size and the cross on the front, everyhthing else is my new knowledge put to use. I still have a lot to fix.
[img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4565878/facepunch/11th%20grade/cocaine.png[/img_thumb]
It's like I'm looking at some live trace, just done completely right. How does your learning curve look like? I imagine it looking like this: | and you would have to zoom by 50 to see the slight curve it makes up to the right.
Why do you use blending mode? Can I do it without using the blending mode?
Blending mode is only good for colouring paper drawings and such, other than that, stick to just picking the right base colour and it's shade and highlight. Not that blending modes can't produce good results, but still, much better to make it all manually. But if you've drawn fully greyscale and can't be arsed to re-draw it just to get it in colours, then blending modes are a good choice.
Did some tests at the blending mode, it works nicely but needs it's own highlights still Fails miserabely at the resembalance department but I learned something and it has absolutely 0% trace in it and I got to practise sum values. Now I lost my tablet pen and can't continue. I'll best do some shit on pvtvain challenge
I have not offically yet succeded, but get the lighting to be accurate using 25, 50 and 75% values of gray and large brushes. The only image I've done in that method had good results by laying down values using a brush with 50% opacity and 100% flow. But I have no idea if that is correct or not. When you're done with that blending mode to multyply on the layer menu and start setting down colour.
Wait .. you don't use pressure sensitivity to control opacity?
I should get an SA account... How much is £10 of your american pounds in real pounds? [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] actually maybe I better not. Everything on that forum is so good I'd be likely to never do anything with my life ever again except post there. [editline]5th December 2010[/editline] or it would just make me feel useless.
Wait .. you don't use pressure sensitivity to control opacity?
not lately, no. It hasn't proved much of a problem and it's easier to control. Also since I can't sleep I wrote the pvtvain challenge.

Read books on anatomy etc. It will take time and patience, but you will slowly get better.
Meh, lighting practice. First pass, will force harder values over the next few mins. Edit:- Nevermind that, looks shite.
not lately, no. It hasn't proved much of a problem and it's easier to control. Also since I can't sleep I wrote the pvtvain challenge.
Damn. I haven't even started yet. Probably because the deadline feels far away to me.. Gotta get it together here. I haven't even touched any of my writings in days, some of them not for weeks, or even months.
Found my tablet pen in the pocket of my bathrobe
Did you use a reference image?
Oh yes, totally forgot about it since most of the time I dnd't look at it. It was a charcoal drawing by Lazylion [editline]6th December 2010[/editline] Also suddenly a roman! Possible colour version?
Dayum, you've been working hard lately, so you still are too sick for school? Well, at least time well spent!
Some kind of steampunk ship media'd because of giganormeous image. [editline]6th December 2010[/editline] Oh would you look at that, someone said it already.
Creating a fictional film in media class, and I'm responsible for the VFX. Never used After Effects before but I think what I've come up with so far looks pretty good http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13290261/MVI_1861.mov

The blood effect is OK although I would have tried to find one that looked a bit more hi-quality as well as being less, stretched... The clip itself is just what the fuck. The sounds are horrible, out of place and simply fucked up and the way he just casually walks up front to a zombie and kicks it down like that just looks... Wrong. It's especially wrong that he turns around slowly and normally even though three goddamn zombies went from his mates that were right besides him. There is no indication of him going to help them at all, not giving a single fuck.

Same for the trimming/clipping. Our actor had a nasty habit of quickly jumping out of character. The guy responsible for clipping will of course cut away parts like that and the the sound guy will put effort into creating some believable audio.
