It's not done, but I still kinda like it. (Slight edit made)
Thanks for the detailed critique. This is only my 3rd ever digital art piece so I'm still on the sharp learning curve. Deep blue light from the right, normal light from in-front and slightly left is what I imagine.
But you still have some lighting issues, especially the neck. How did you shade it? What tools?
It's not done, but I still kinda like it. <image>
If the text stood out a bit more and was clearer to read then it'd be perfect in my opinion. It's really pretty and vibrant.

I'm still playing with it though, so maybe I'll do most of the tweaks on the text.
I'd get rid of the random ripple things though, they just look filter raped/smudged.
How did you shade it? What tools?
Dodge and burn set to either highlights or midtones, and then the paintbrush and/or airbrush if I needed it.
Oh that is hilariously wrong. That's what you're not sposed to do. Paintings are done by using different colour values. That's why it looks cheap-ish. I suspected it. Look up a tutorial how real digipaintings are done.
Okeh doke. Gracias.
It's not done, but I still kinda like it.
Could use a different font. Looks like it has a bevel effect on it, don't do that. Try it with flat letters.
Could use a different font. Looks like it has a bevel effect on it, don't do that. Try it with flat letters.
It actually doesn't have a Bevel on it. I think it's a mixture of the gradient the inner glow I was using that gives it that sorta effect.
I began working on an animation I started a while ago, it doesn't have much of a purpose, but I'd like to animate it (and many other unfinished animation projects). So suggest me what should be done...

Made me laugh.
in memoriam would look better in a different font or color maybe.
Script? Or perhaps another horror-type font? I tried a script font, but it looks off to me. I like the color I have it in now, but perhaps slightly more transparency at the tail would look better (assuming you were referring only to the text).
I needed a background for my new eyefinity setup of 5760x1080, I decided to create my own because, I don't know, I like big red glowy things :haw: . Edit: FORGOT TO ADD PICTURE DAYUM: Oh btw, you may need to scroll right a lot.
Here is a new piece from my Deviantart: I recommend you view it on my Deviantart. Yes I know it is incredibly simple but I like it that way.

Also, what's it look like with a script type font? not SUPER scripty, but a little bit.
Thanks, they started off as shades of yellow that faded to gray and i applied some gradient maps until I was happy.
Thanks, they started off as shades of yellow that faded to gray and i applied some gradient maps until I was happy.
the only thing that's bugging me is that the 'e' in everything doesn't seem to line up with the other first letters, it seems indented a little too much.
the only thing that's bugging me is that the 'e' in everything doesn't seem to line up with the other first letters, it seems indented a little too much.
It's cus of the letters 'I' and 't'. I probably should have capitalized the 'E' so it looked more aligned.

Since there really isn't any right place to show this, It'll go here. I just picked up this awesome retro dual goose-neck lamp at a thrift-store for $2.00 and it's amazing. It's from the 1940's (I can tell by the ceramic electrical components and wiring) I'm going to refinish the brass, and repaint the inside of the domes white.
*space image*
The star is a bit overpowering.
Lynn, the character I worked with before, few years later. she uses a hand gun and an assault rifle with scope
Oh god that rifle grip is horrible. Why is it facing the opposite direction? And the trigger guard takes way too much space from the body, leaving no space for the chamber and other internals, same with the magazine. You need to make it thicker in that axis. [editline]07:33AM[/editline] Oh and I do feel like her right leg is a bit too stiff and the left one is too long.
thanx for the tips, I'll fix them xD I need to practice more on guns.
