Yeah I was thinking that too, but for some reason If I didn't blend the text it would look weird and I already had a set vision I was trying to achieve so it was really hard to let it go any other way. I'm still playing with it though, so maybe I'll do most of the tweaks on the text.
I'd get rid of the random ripple things though, they just look filter raped/smudged.

Dodge and burn set to either highlights or midtones, and then the paintbrush and/or airbrush if I needed it.

That's what you're not sposed to do. Paintings are done by using different colour values. That's why it looks cheap-ish. I suspected it. Look up a tutorial how real digipaintings are done.

Could use a different font.
Looks like it has a bevel effect on it, don't do that. Try it with flat letters.

It actually doesn't have a Bevel on it. I think it's a mixture of the gradient the inner glow I was using that gives it that sorta effect.

I like the color I have it in now, but perhaps slightly more transparency at the tail would look better (assuming you were referring only to the text).
I needed a background for my new eyefinity setup of 5760x1080, I decided to create my own because, I don't know, I like big red glowy things :haw: .

maybe it's just the last few letters bugging me, i think it's a little bit over-smudged. Also, what's it look like with a script type font? not SUPER scripty, but a little bit.
Thanks, they started off as shades of yellow that faded to gray and i applied some gradient maps until I was happy.

the only thing that's bugging me is that the 'e' in everything doesn't seem to line up with the other first letters, it seems indented a little too much.

It's cus of the letters 'I' and 't'. I probably should have capitalized the 'E' so it looked more aligned.

i dunno man, do what you want. that's just a small detail and it isn't a biggie. it's nice though.

I just picked up this awesome retro dual goose-neck lamp at a thrift-store for $2.00 and it's amazing. It's from the 1940's (I can tell by the ceramic electrical components and wiring)
I'm going to refinish the brass, and repaint the inside of the domes white.

Oh god that rifle grip is horrible. Why is it facing the opposite direction? And the trigger guard takes way too much space from the body, leaving no space for the chamber and other internals, same with the magazine. You need to make it thicker in that axis.

Oh and I do feel like her right leg is a bit too stiff and the left one is too long.
