It's sad, I wanted to do something way better and something a bit more with this, but sadly I didn't know where to go. [media]http://i52.tinypic.com/w2gmc8.jpg[/media] Kinda big, I don't know why I made it so big though.
Well I Recently got a drawing tablet and Here are my first two Whatever you call them using it First one is ezio [URL=http://filesmelt.com/][IMG]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Ezio_auditore.jpg[/IMG][/URL] And the second one was Bill [URL=http://filesmelt.com/][IMG]http://filesmelt.com/dl/Bill.jpg[/IMG][/URL] I was gonna make a thread but I dont think they deserve one

incredebly. Use brushes and use them big. Use big canvas and draw from photos or life.

I do think it's better.
This is already finished work from quite some months back, but I never really got any constructive criticism on it. I would really like some though. I'm using it as the cover of my agenda. [img]http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/4052/projectwildlifescarletmx.png[/img]
Did you paint it or is it just stock photos/artwork photoshoped together?
Tineye gave me nothing so I know it's his.
Possibly the most badass name ever.
It's mine yes. To my disappointment I can't say I painted it all, I would really like to learn it but I'm not good at traditional art so I never bought a tablet. I used a reference for the parrot, so I just cut it out, painted over, used a filter and did some other secretive things to it. The surrounding things are all from different pictures too. On the background are brushes and a texture on overlay, but you probably figured that out yourself.
I just don't get why he would paint that awesome parrot then cover it is splash brushes and images of leaves, Canadian geese, and hot air balloons (they just look like stock images) [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] Ah ninja'd [editline]4th January 2011[/editline] As for advice at becoming a tradition artist; using reference images is perfectly fine and normal, even tracing over the basic shape so that you get perspective and shape right is ok, sometimes. Filters are frowned upon and the paint splash brush is a dead give away that its someone trying to make a photoshop look authentic. Practice sketches with pen and paper, never go straight to tablet.
I always got told, as long as you can't see the filter was used, you used it good. The splash brush is mainly for making it look less boring and filling up some space. My original idea was to make a whole series of animals in the same style, that's why it says Project Wildlife. Never got to do any others though.
Finally got around to carrying on a bit (I blame New Year): [img]http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/4729/bandwip.jpg[/img]
I got really bored during school today and drew this but I had no sketchbook so it's on shitty line paper. [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17993036/2011-01-04%2012.17.41.png[/img]

[QUOTE=lexus04;27202087]link's broken[/QUOTE] That better?
[QUOTE=snowboardmoose;27202859]That better?[/QUOTE] You can only IMG tag images that are in the PUBLIC folder when using Dropbox. Any other folder outside of "public" are only accessible through Dropbox as a shared folder.
